The Philadelphia 76ers are re-signing F Montrezl Harrell in 2023 NBA Free Agency according to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj reports that Harrell will return to the Sixers on a 1-year contract. This will likely be a veteran minimum contract due to Harrell’s steep decline in recent years, but he can offer occasional offense, but offers no defense. – Not sure what Daryl Morey is thinking here
– Harrell is clearly washed
– This better be for little to no money at all
– Veteran who can help out in practice, giving you size, experience and energy?

– 5.5 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.4 blocks, 60% from the field
– An active rebounder who can also run the floor, give you put-backs. Not even a great defender, especially in today’s NBA and he’s a liability at the free throw line
– It’s a shame this wasn’t 5 years ago, when he was actually solid
– Career averages: 12 points, 5 rebounds
– It’s pretty wild that he’s only 29-years-old, because he’s an old 29. Phased out of the game a bit.
– 2nd round pick, 32nd overall out of Louisville, where he played for Rick Pitino
– Was apart of the 2013 team with Peyton Siva that won a natty, but then was later vacated
– Did win 6th man as recently as 2020

    Wtf is morey thinking….so far I've been shocked and disappointed with the sixers free agency….the guys they have picked up are busts or disappointments…

    we definitely getting that chip now. potato chips. edit: montrezl opting out was kinda smart. the vet min is slighter higher than if he had opted in.

    This was a move that made me think Reed is done here, and they truly believe Doc was the problem last year. Montrez is is far from washed he was not used at all correctly that why everyone was so upset with Doc rotation. He was a 6th man, and when given the opportunity, his energy is what we need. Philly we have to stop being so recency bias and look at the big picture. This teams move is about the hustle, grit, and grind. I keep saying let Nusre work
