Don’t blame him, it was a horrible idea from the jump. It was a tragedy and train wreck waiting to happen.

  2. Makes sense.

This is Ime’s chance at having his own team pretty much and I could understand why he would want to risk it by bringing in a player that has had issues with coaching. He now has a young team and hand picked vets to build up his own team.

  3. Harden will always be a Houston legend #2 all time. But yeah it was time to move on, not worth destroying our future by giving him a 4 year max. If we still suck when he’s close to retiring happy to give him a year for whatever cap space we have and let him do a retirement tour lol.

He was on the coaching staff while Harden was on the Nets, so he got a front-row seat. I guess he wasn’t a fan.

I wanted Harden as bad as anyone, but if Ime is out then it has to be a pass on Harden.

  6. In terms of building a long-lasting winning culture, I think this is the right move. If you want to be like the heat or spurs, it can’t all hinge on one player.

Yea because when you have to opportunity to give 200 million to a guy who doesn’t defend or play off ball you jump at the opportunity to do it

He’s a much better player than FVV but a much worse fit. I would have taken a Harden max over a 4 year FVV contract but the 2+1 for him is solid

Can’t have someone that’ll pull more ass than himself

Harden/D’antoni/Morey were a match made in heaven. But individually they don’t work well with others.
