[K.C. Johnson] Bulls’ Zach LaVine continues to land in trade speculation

“The LaVine trade chatter isn’t going away. In fact, league sources said that LaVine has landed in preliminary conversations with both the Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers, who are working with James Harden and Damian Lillard, respectively, to find them new homes.”

This is actual good slop. KC is connected to the bulls and says we’ve been having discussions with Chicago and Portland regarding lavine.

This is what I’m expecting tbh. A 3-way between LAC PHI & CHI. Clippers get Harden, Bulls get Mann, salary, and a couple 1sts & 2nds, we get LaVine. Sounds reasonable to me for all parties, assuming CHI commits to a rebuild

    It’s okay, if it’s in a 3 way. It’s not gay if it’s in a 3 way.

If we can somehow trade Tobias for him and run Harden/Maxey/Lavine/Embiid….that’s something special. Maybe Chicago wants full on rebuild and having Tobias off the books next year is enticing?

LaVine is better than Mann and whatever garbage we’d get from the Clippers, but I have such a hard time being excited about the idea of getting him for Harden.

You would think Harden and Lillard would realize that if they teamed up with Joel that we’d be the team to beat and not Miami, Milwaukee or Boston. I don’t want to lose Maxey either. But in my crazy world I’d mend whatever broken fence there is with Harden and tell him we’re getting Dame to go with YOU and Joel. I’d try it at least. Side note if Dame takes his trade stance of just the Heat any further and becomes disgruntled I’d oblige him. I’d say Dame you got your wish you’ve been traded to Miami. BUUUUT for Bam lol.

LaVine to PHI; Harden to LAC; Mann, Morris, Covington, and draft compensation to CHI

LAC gets their PG; PHI gets their big time replacement; CHI dumps long-term salary, picks up a nice young player and picks

I’m sorry I hate Lavine as the 2nd best player on this team. It’s simply not good enough

I think he’d be a great fit and his deal is so much better than Lillard’s is

  10. Please god no lavine. Just get some expirings back for harden. Dont waste embiids prime on 3 years with lavine.

Call me a doomer I just really think there are better packages for Lavine than what we and the clippers can cobble together

This is the move. He’s a better Jimmy Butler, especially when age is factored in. The closest we can come to undoing the Butler mistake without a time machine.
