I would not trade Barrett straight up for George. George is old, constantly hurt, and is on the decline. Please stop commenting that it was because of the extension George wanted us why the Knicks backed out. The trade was complete shit all to begin with.
RJ has value around the league. Only the haters in the Knicks fanbase thinks that he doesn't 😆. Begley just said 2 weeks ago that RJ has fans in the Clippers front office. In other words, Jerry West woke up after watching the playoffs from that coma he was in last season. When he delusionally said that Grimes is going to be better than RJ. I don't know what some of y'all are watching. Grimes is soft and don't have any dog in him. He plays passive and scared .
And his jumpshot is inconsistent, just like RJs. He's just a better defender. Begley also said that he spoke to people in the Jazz front office, and RJ was the target in the deal for Mitchell. That's who Utah really wanted first.
Grimes name only came up later once the Knicks pulled RJ off the table and signed him to his extension. And Begley said Utah still wanted RJ after he signed because it wasn't a max contract.
