LOL at the people trying to justify this now when the other day they said that the Houston trade was one of the best moves in hawks trading history. They gained cash from the Houston deal and then saved money from this deal. And the team didn’t know that they had too many players on their roster before that Houston deal?
I mean I guess that’s nice. None of those other guys were going to get mins and we already had too many players in the roster. Patty might be able to bring some value to the team.

I know Patty Mills was shit out in Brooklyn last season, but he’s still a big upgrade over Aaron Holiday at the backup PG position (sorry towel guy). We got him basically for dudes who were barely on the team anyway and a guy we were gonna cut, plus one of the 2nds we got in that deal. Plus we save another $4.5m to make room for a potential larger deal? idk how you couldn’t say this is a win tbh. Not a colossal move obviously but a good one nonetheless.
