Zach described a fantastic trade package from Miami as palatable lol, that’s pretty much the KD/Harden/Gobert return lol
Thank you for not talking about Dame early on.
Edit: just wait till the trade is actually made and we have to sit here and talk about the judgment of what everybody got for 2 weeks.
Lost defensive players
This is just lazy analysis on the Mavs. Why is Luka any greater threat to leave than Tatum is to leave Boston? This is no better than ESPN
They keep mention dames age but he’s coming off his best season where he had a 70 point game lol
Do yall know who Luka Doncic is?
Dwight powell is the 🐐
nothing worse then clicking on an episode with tim bontemps on it
Batman has come and is going to save the Dallas. 😂
I get why Portland doesn't want any more guards they have 3 young beasts but Anfernee Simons isn't better than Tyler Herro. Portland needs to move Simons &let Herro be their SG of the future. Herro is younger than Simons &has proven he can get in done in the postseason; Simons is a 20pts scorer on a non-playoff team; he's the young Terry Rozier
Zach finally had to talk about Dallas 💀
Us Mavs fans are laughing at all of yall Boston-based media folk that think Porzingis is the answer. We know how this goes. He can put up stats but he's not efficient, can't post up, and will passive aggressively pout whenever he doesn't get enough shot attempts. Losing Smart and Grant Williams will be massive and ultimately make the Celtics worse. By the way, it was irresponsible to make this whole thing about Boston and not Dallas. Talk about how Dallas is a contender again
yeah he is NOT Lebron and they are asking too much from Heat. Portland is the one who overpayed him. And the Heat is the one who will pay for that 63M @37
Brad walked into the NBA and immediately became a top 5 head coach decided he wanted something different and walked into the Front office and immediately became a top 3 GM y’all hate to see it 😂 🍀
Last point lol….they keep questioning the Porzingus fit which is crazy he’s literally a 10 yr younger version of Al horford and we know that’s a perfect fit and Al is fresh off of locking up Embiid and now he gets to play 20 significant minutes to keep him rested y’all crazy I can’t wait to run over everybody again
Pick swaps in 7 years have become WILDLY overrated. In 7 years a random team can be top 10 just as easily as they can be bottom 10. Plus Dallas having Luka locked up for a few years automatically makes it more likely he'll be there. Plus teams without their 1sts TRY. Even if they're bad and rebuilding they'll try to win games. The Celtics got insanely lucky with the Nets, now everyone overrates these picks. OH!!! THEY COULD BE TOP 3!!! Almost never happens. People don't remember when these future picks end up #25.
If the Mavericks don't win 50 games i'll give you 1.75$
As a celtics fan, I'm incredibly nervous about this season. They already had problems with the ball sitting and wasting time. Now there's three guys that don't make anyone else better around them instead of just two.
SO MANY people already speculating Luka will want out in a few years. When asked about it he asks like people are crazy. He's never given any indication he's not happy and won't stay long term. It's pure speculation. Hey…. maybe he might…. want to leave someday or something. Hot takes.
Mavs will be ok
41-41 Hawks -John Collins= top 5. Hmmm. Trae gonna grow 6 inches and accept a 20 million dollar pay cut so they can add more talent?
Marcus smart is rapidly becoming one of the most overrated players in the league😂
Do these fools know there is still free agents that can help these teams . Celtics are not done making moves .
Have you guys ever watch the Celtics game smart sucks, he was a bricklaying machine that the organization would never sit down in the fourth quarter when they needed shooting. And why they sucked in fourth quarters because Marcus Smart was in there, it's been a problem for years. Watch the games the whole commentary around this trade is just laughable😅
You guys say that all their players are injury-prone, but you don't bring up that Marcus Smart was hurt all year and hurt in the playoffs last year. And was hurt in the playoff run the year before no one brings that up, the sad part is he plays through it and is terrible when he does. Unless you watch every game of the Celtics you guys have no clue about the rating that you're giving Marcus Smart the guy should have been six player Malcolm Brogdon and Kristoff porzingis were more healthy than smart last year but you guys wouldn't know that cuz you don't actually watch the Celtics😅
Obviously you guys did not watch the Celtics, their best offense was when Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon with the Jays were on the court not with Marcus Smart do a little research look up the number oh, they were away worth offensive team when smart was in the game just look at the end of games he was always out there when they collapsed his passing did nothing to help them
Marcus Smart was the core identity of a team that never won the finals how many years do they have to keep losing in the playoffs before they get rid of the core identity of their team? Maybe the 7th best player on your team shouldn't be the core identity of your team. I bet Marcus Smart will not even be starting in Memphis by the end of the year and will be sitting at the end of games.
I hate this trade. I thought Joe did Grant and the team a disservice by not playing him. I think he’s a solid presence on the floor, brings it on D against multiple positions and can knock down that corner 3. He should’ve started for us. Perfect role player at the 4.
I feel 100% the same as Bontemps. Cs need another passer, 3-4 swing wing, and a dog or two
Zach looks and kinda acts like Fox Mulder from X-Files
Zach and one of the Tims are the best episodes
I agree that Miami is the best partner. A couple picks plus Jovic, Herro, Jacquez, Robinson is good. Robinson's contract sucks, but he played well in the playoffs, and he may be able to be moved down the road if he shoots it well. Scoot will need shooting around him too. I don't see how Brooklyn or Philly give them anything close. Portland probably would have gotten more had they done this earlier, but they will still get a lot. But, they have to move him. The only team that could give them something better is Boston IMO. Jaylen Brown is excellent, YOUNG and nearly a superstar now. Because of his age he is close to equal value for Dame all by himself.
I’d be stunned if Mavs make playoffs.
West is stronger, they still have the worst roster in the conference.
Luka is all nba every year
Kyrie gets his numbers, but is Kyrie, plus not a great compliment with luka
Josh green is dope but young and still coming
Grant Williams is solid
The rest of the squad wouldn’t even be in the 8/9 man rotation for any other top 15 nba team.
Trading Kyrie for some sort of depth would be best.
Kyrie to clippers for Covington Mann Powell Batum any of those 3 would make them a real contender in the west.
Luka just needs quality role players not superstars around him.
the heat offer sucks and Tim Bontemps is a moron
and Dame is stabbing Blazers fans in the back by this snake game and Dame was objectively a better player than Kevin Durant last year Zach
Assuming the Celtics keep Jaylen Brown (whether he will be happy/settled or disgruntled is a different issue), I think they'll still have their problem of last season under Mazzulla–inability to defend, which was in large part how a low-offense team like Miami was able to beat them. Their offense/shooting may be better with Porzingis (assuming he plays 65-70 games), but their defense will be worse with Williams and Smart gone (that's 2 of their 3 dogs–the only left being fuzzybrowed Derrick White). The Celtics have bet on Mazzulla, and Mazzulla has bet on offense uber D, we'll see if these bets pay off.
Kyrie Irving has a greater chance of going apeshite crazy on something (50%) or having an extended injury (40%) or both than Mavs do at making the playoffs (40%), I think. Mavs' only chance at having a good season is if their offense is so overwhelming that their underwhelming D doesn't matter most of the time, but that will require a Kyrie behaving like a pro and their figuring out how to play with 2 ball dominant guards with a mediocre supporting cast. If they flame out or choose to tank again, bye bye Luka!
