Why Ausar Thompson is a LOCK to the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Draft



Spencer Raxter, Eazy and Chris Platte discuss their top candidates for the Detroit Pistons to select with the 5th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft this Thursday. One half of the Thompson Twins (Ausar) has a lot of buzz to be taken around the 5th pick and it’s been reported that Detroit has a lot of interest in him.     don’t fall for the smokescreen. rumor is that we want to trade down, and Ausar would be a prospect teams like ORL or WAS could want to move up for. Trade down and take Hendricks

    Thompson twins look like great high school basketball players on their highlights…..compared to cam,jarace, n Hendricks they look like kids, they need 2 yrs just to work on their bodies to be able to take nba pounding…imo cam will go to the rockets n we trade w utah n take Grady he can shoot

    With top 5 pick you swing for the fences which is Ausar Thompson
    Either way lets allow Troy, who's working these guys out, make that decision.

    Love Hendricks but hes a role player.

    The reason why our defense sucked was because we played multiple terrible defenders at the same time for the majority of the year. Saddiq and Bojan were terrible defenders. ALSO, PLAYING TWO BIGS IS ANOTHER FLAW!!!! Not to mention playing Cojo who is another TERRIBLE defender. It's like having four bad tires and trying to determine which one is worse for your traction. THEY ALL NEED TO GO. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    I just find it interesting how people love the thompson twins and don't realize that they shoot like Killian Hayes.

    Now if you're getting rid of Hayes and replacing him with a Thompson twin. I can respect that. But bro if you don't get some 3pt shooters on this team. I'm going to lose my mind.

    You traded one of our primary volume 3pt shooters in Saddiq, and a Wing who shot 37 percent in Kevin Knox.
    And your main trade assets are your primary 3pt shooters.

    TROY WEAVER LOVES ATHLETES AND HE HATES SHOOTERS!!! Look at every 2 way player this team has had since he's been here.
    Any player who had any shooting promise was let go.

    One of the biggest concerns with me is that the Thunder had Russ, and KD, and they refused to put shooting around them as they prioritized athleticism and defense over shooting.

    Does it feel like groundhog day or is it just me?

    My ideal draft is take ausar with number 5 and trade 31 and bogan to dallas for number 10 and take hendricks or dick with number 10.
