The truth is one day we’re gonna play Damian Lillard wearing another jersey, on that day I hope our team tries their best to beat him, as every fan should.
What we have to realize is that day has already come. It’s the off-season so it’s not as obvious but Dame is not a trailblazer anymore. He’s not playing for our team or worrying about our interests nor should we really expect him too now. So in turn we gotta play our best hand. Just like when we have that first game against him, play our hardest and try to win. Theres a game on now it’s just not on the court.
My running theory is Cronin wants to make Miami feel desperate, and also wait until Aug when Jaime Jaquez can be a part of the trade and a 3rd team can/will take on Herro.
We get: Jaime, Duncan Robinson, Herro (return 2X 1rps w sign n trade), Kyle Lowry. Kyle plays his last NBA year as a veteran and bench guy to Scoot and Shae, we let him walk with his 2024 expiring contract and pay Shae.
We move Anfernee and Nurk, maybe get J Allen or Claxton.
