  1. The Heat can’t afford to wait Months for this trade….missing out on any good free agents that are left

  2. If Portland was serious about getting help for Dame they wouldn’t have any draft picks coming up. They have great potential lottery picks coming and have not made the effort. The teams that are serious empty the war chest.

  3. They are looking for draft assets but don't want Tyler who is now a proven asset at 23 yrs old. Jaime is 22 who is a year younger than Tyler. Tyler is already ascending at 23

  4. Tells you how bad of a GM this guy is! Portland will never go anywhere with people like this. He should learn from the Heat how to make it happen.

  5. Thibodeau when he was the GM at Minny, screwed us for a big trade before. Pat Riley never forgot that. Cronin is the same, a small man acting big and right now because Dame's agent told other teams to stay away, Cronin is backed into a corner. Men should know when they lose.

  6. It must be frustrating trying to negotiate a trade with a guy that’s likely fired however this plays out. Cronin never got anybody to pair with Dame and now he wants to get picky over who he’d get back for Dame? Nah. No way scoot stays past his rookie contract.

  7. Set aside the actual trade for a moment. The fact that this guy is doing this in public tells me that he’s in over his head for this job.

Real movers do things in silence and never show their hand until they already made their move. Give plain, vanilla answers and never let them see you sweat.

Is Miami out here airing things out in public? Do the best GM’s and organizations in any sport go to the media to work out deals?

    Amateur hour over in Portland.
