I know this has been posted from Stein’s article, but Agness is definitely in the know with the Pacers, so it makes it more interesting. He mentions the “interest in Siakam is real”. And a non-Siakam related part, Agness mentions how the addition of Bruce Brown has made T.J. McConnell expendable and there are teams interested in him.
feel like we are rushing the rebuild a bit.. we havent been to the playoffs in years. I’d rather play the season out
Agness confirming this definitely piques my interest. Crazy to think about tossing in an All NBA-caliber player to this team, next to T-Hog and Mathurin.
I think this makes sense depending on how much the front office and Rick think he and/or Walker can realistically play the 3. If both of them are 4s only, then I don’t see enough minutes to go around with Obi in the mix.
That being said Siakam is in his prime and an All-nba forward. He would absolutely make the team better and depending on what they give up, the timelines could overlap enough to give the team a chance to contend (assuming he resigns)
It’s Evan Massey, so who knows, but apparently we aren’t willing to put Nembhard in the deal.
If Ujiri didn’t think he was the next coming of Ainge, if be more interested…. This looks like some weird Siakam swap where Pascal is a full time 3 here imo. No thanks
It’s pretty clear we have an interest in Siakam, it’s less clear how significant that interest is.
