Absolute best case scenario is that Kyrie has good intentions but is dumb/ignorant on a lot of things and thus speaks without really thinking.
It also couldn’t have helped that he’s likely been surrounded by yes men all his life wanting to attach themselves to his success, so no one probably ever questioned or challenged him on anything if he said this sort of stuff in high school or college.

Cuban and Kyrie are both weird dudes, but that makes Dallas a great fit for Kyrie. Luka is very unassuming as well…locker room environment is much more relaxed. No longer dealing with New York media. In a much more politically neutral city. In a city where the Mavs always take a back seat to the Cowboys and Longhorns. Nash an amazing player but a newbie coach thrust into a fragile championship hopeful situation he wasn’t really ready for.

Iq does not equal reasoning skills. It can help, but those are two distinct abilities. I’ve known idiots that fully think through and make great decisions, and I’ve known damn near geniuses who get behind the car wheel and lose all common sense.
Kyrie can absolutely be very intelligent and quick on the uptake, but have a horrible sense of how to evaluate it.
I think like many people he’s complicated. Idk about misunderstood. I think he does a lot of good work in terms of charity and uplifting Black causes, which is very respectable. I also think he severely lacks media literacy and often leans into conspiratorial thinking that is anti-Semitic, while thinking he’s being legitimately revolutionary. He’s also way too defensive about it to really learn. So there’s some good parts, some bad parts, and as unacceptable as his anti-semitism is I think he puts a lot of money into a lot of good causes. Can’t say I hate him, can’t say he’s a wonderful guy either
