  1. Lonzo had so much potential, its sad that he never could have his own team and play his game, teams didnt really have him as a 1st man playmaker

That team was great, the 2001 Lakers of the Summer League.

I believe BI was the only right high lottery pick of the tanking years (aka youth movement), but I loved Ball. He was such a nice kid that played the game the right way, had great work ethic and everything else even if he wasn’t the best option at #2. Call me a Stan, but I like two way players with no nonsense attitude.

Current Lonzo (non-injured) would be the perfect PG for this team. Near 40% 3PT shooter on 7 attempts a game, excellent playmaker, and an elite defender with great size. Shame injuries derailed his career. Could’ve potentially been a Jrue kind of elite role player for a championship team

The problem with that team was the quantity of quirky talent, which made it difficult to create team chemistry. It’s the opposite of the current Lakers roster, filled with versatile, well rounded players

Sheesh. We could’ve had booker, tatum, and ingram on the lakers team.

As an organization we draft extremely well, Lonzo still has so much promise.

What a stacked summer league team that was. So much nba talent. Ingram (though didn’t play most of the games), Thomas bryant, zubac, kuzma, Caruso, Josh hart, and lonzo. Sheesh.

Man…It really sucks what’s happened to him. Injuries blow.

Zo would be perfect next to Bron as a starting pg hell he is legit the quintensential starting pg for any contending team.

Zo would be perfect next to Bron as a starting pg hell he is legit the quintessential starting pg for any contending team. . He looked solid with Bron even without a good jumpshot.

Its so sad how his career never took off cuz of his injuries when he got to CHI he had that team looking like a title contender.

This summer was so fun. Had me thinking, “holy shit, we’re gonna be good some day soon!”

And damn, Lonzo when he was feeling confident was different.

  12. Perfect example to never trust Summer League games to reflect a players career, shit can change so fast its unfortunate for Lonzo to basically be out of the League for the foreseeable future.
