Jaylen Brown’s extension still isn’t done, and even though it should be soon, it definitely feels like there are reasons behind the deal still being negotiated. Also, Sam Cassell’s hiring was celebrated when it happened, but Joe Mazzulla’s role in the hiring makes it especially notable.     This is crazy, every time I listen to the reporters who cover the Celtics continue to ask why isn't the Jaylen Brown deal done? Only to turn around and say what Brown isn't. And it's like, people want him to just go along with what Brad may or may not be saying to him. Especially if it is Brad telling him that your close to Tatum, but not that close! And because of that. Accept this offer, but it's going to be done in a way where Jaylen has to all but admit that he's not that great. And that the offer is only being given because he made all NBA second tier….. Wow! That right there is why this extension hasn't been signed fellas. If that is the case!

    Sorry John, but Jaylen doesn't know more about basketball than every coach who never played in the NBA. Jaylen doesn't even know more about how to play in the NBA than every coach who's never played in the NBA.

    How can you go from "know your role on the court and play within yourself" to "if you never played at a high level in the NBA, I know more than you"???

    Jaylen was a plus 7.1 in the Philadelphia series while Tatum was a plus 6.0.

    Jaylen’s Fg% was better than Tatum’s 3point % was better than Tatum’s and Tatum’s is sawft…!! Jaylen is better…!!! Reality is illusive in Boston…!!!🤦‍♂️💯

    Tatum may be a 1 st Team All NBA player but he sucks in the playoffs. Jaylen plays better than Tatum in the playoffs…!!! Brad is dumb…!!

    The NBA can do anything it wants. The Celtics can do anything they want. Please let's all stop the mythology about a CBA and a luxury tax or a percent or two of a salary. We are dealing with billionaire owners and multimillionaire players who are entirely subsidized by the public. Get it done or don't, I couldn't care less if the flashy lazy NBA ever had another season.
    OK, having said that: I lost faith in Jaylen when Tatum twisted his ankle. Jaylen's MAJOR FLAW is that he is an immature player. Jaylen Brown's immaturity cost the Celtics a trip to the finals. His pigheaded insistence on dribbling and forcing offense played right into Miami's hands. They were waiting on him with baited breath and he did not disappoint. Lowry and Bam and Jimmy and Spoelstra are wayyy too seasoned and sophisticated to lean back and watch Brown take over a game. Had he made two intelligent passes he could have made them regroup but he was incapable. Missoula didn't help.
