Id say rockets are number three behind magic and okc. How okc isnt first just makes the list invalid. Basically put the spurs first because “wemby”

  2. we atleast top 3. lard boy gets injured like every three games. no way nola has a more promising core than ours

  3. -_Monsoon-_

I’m honestly surprised we even got into the top 5 the way they be underselling us, Ime and the core are just going to have to MAKE THEM stop disrespecting us, LOL and we all know why they made the Spurs #1 they continue pushing their agenda, even to the point Wemby himself said he had enough and went right back on vacation 💀

In my view, OKC and New Orleans should be considered as having “graduated” from eligibility for this list since (leaving aside Zion’s injury concerns) both teams already have proven franchise players who are on their second contracts.

I have us, San Antonio, Orlando, and Detroit all in the same tier. I don’t think it matters that much what order you rank those teams–all four have some great prospects, and none have proven franchise players as of yet.

What is definition of “young”? Zion is 23, entering his 4th season, SGA is 25, going into his 5th season. I’d say both are entering the NBA middle age. Certainly not in the same timeline as Wemby or Rockets young players. Remove both of them I cannot see how rest of OKC and PEL “young” players compare with Rockets young core

Being under the radar is better. Let them hype them out.

Pride before the fall. OKC is gonna be good though.

Don’t care. I’d bet we have a better record than 2 of those 3 teams come end of regular season.

The big difference is the Rockets don’t have a guy (yet) that has shown he can be a surefire All NBA guy. I’m optimistic about what the team will look like next year, but we need to see if we have a guy on the level of Zion/SGA/Wemby/Paolo first, which I don’t think we’ve seen yet.

These are just opinions who fucking cares that much lol

Bleacher report has always been a shit rag. Don’t now how they got to be so accepted as MSM. Money?

  11. Still-Air6938

It’s bleacher report. Who gives a fuck

  12. Prestigious-State-15

    People still read Bleacher Report?

  13. DicKitchen

2 of those teams best players have been in the league for 5 or 6 years. Our best young player has been in the league at most 3. Huge difference. Plus its BR, their writers are dumb

  14. NoneMoreBLK

The goal isn’t to build “the best young core.” The goal is to develop talent into a cohesive system that’s going to contribute to winning championships or being highly competitive in the future. I’m confident that what we’ve done thus far has been good. Hopefully, we’ll have a much better go at it next season.

magic okc us is the real top 3 (no order) & idk how zion is still there he’s ab to be 24 obv still time to develop but i wouldn’t call that “young” anymore but that’s just me maybe

  16. None of our guys are proven yet. SGA and Zion are already stars, and Wemby is basically a sure thing, barring injury

  17. mwesanfan

Staying under the radar is good for the Houston Rockets.

  18. Dull-Table-1142

Spurs listed as 1 is ridiculous. They were the worst team in the NBA and added 1 guy who may or may not be a generational talent.

  19. LorelessFrog

Asinine. KPJ, Amen, Green, Whitmore, Tari, Jabari, Sengun. We could have a whole 6 man rotation of just young guys.

  20. Powerful_Journalist4

Our teams was a mess last season

  21. ConditionalDew

Prefer to be under the radar anyways. Who cares

  22. aflickering

this list is purely based on the ceiling of a single star on their roster, and i don’t disagree with it by that measure, but aside from SGA the jury is still out on whether these guys can come close to hitting that ceiling, and if they don’t then i think other teams with more young depth (i.e. ourselves) can surpass them, especially the spurs. i also think people are underestimating just how high amen’s ceiling is, he could be completely ridiculous if his shot becomes acceptable.

  23. Understandable, Zion and Victor are big names so they got to hype them up. In terms of youthful production, OKC definitely deserves to be top 3, after that it is maybe us and Detroit.

  24. TurbulentJudge1000

Zion isn’t a young player anymore, he’s on his second contract.

Young is rookie contract only in my opinion.

    1. OKC
    2. Magic
    3. Rockets
    4. Spurs
    5. Pistons

  25. shakeszoola

I’d put them in front of the pelicans but probably not top 3 at the same time

  26. Jeremy Sochan looks like a Saints Row character

  27. Draperjosh13

Yeah we don’t have ‘that dude’ yet. I’d put us 5th behind this group and the Pistons, who I think are going to have a much better year than we will.
