The problem is that the NBA desperately want to find that next superstar to follow up Lebron! We have other super stars in the league, but I’m talking about that next person that you can argue is the best ever. They are putting that pressure on this young man. Jordan finally retired I’m I think 2001 after multiple retirements. Two years later we had Lebron enter the league. If Lebron leaves in a year or two, there will be another gap and we don’t know how big that gap will be. Wimby has something though. I was one to criticize him in that first game calling home baby deer. I hadn’t seen much of his game though. After watching highlights and seeing his second performance, he can be something special! Especially is he get his weight up some and get comfortable with the NBA game. He will be hard to stop!!!
Are the only men left on NBA Today Big Perk & Jefferson?! ESPN? 🤷🏾♂️
It says wemby averaged 27.2ppg in the bottom bar at 4:57 lmao what
The way Wemby talked about Pop 🥺😭
Is there a gradual shift to an all women’s panel happening, or is it just coincidental all the males are ending up fired and moved over, and women fill the roles? Genuinely curious.
The graphic on the bottom of the screen says he averaged 27.2 ppg but how when he had 9 points in the first game 😂🤔🤔
Espn are disqusting
yes it is. It is set up by the media and fans. I say Wemba will have a rocky season winning some games just to ultimately miss the playoff. The west is no joke.
Please get Malika OUTTA HERE.
This is why people lose the motivation to play. With all this expectation. He is a kid wanting to play basketball who cares if he is great he is living his dream. ESPN at it again. Secondly why is there nothing but females now in the show. I haven’t watched ESPN in a while and I am disgusted we’re are the PRO guys at who know what the game is about. Sad man very sad.
Wemby is already load managing he wont win rookie of the year like zion if he dont play minimum of 65games
This panel is an absolute joke. Y’all fired the wrong people.
He not as good as the media made him seem but he have a lot of practicing to do. Potential is there but na… & to compare him to Bol Bol is kinda crazy lol Bol Bol better 🤷🏽♂️
People forget even Bron and KD weren’t instantly taking teams to the playoffs…. Took Bron till his 3rd year and I think KD his 2nd, give him time
It’s too high 😭😭
Poor kid. Learning how to load manage already 😂. Hope he develops into the best player he can be.
The media labeled him as a generational prospect. Hopes are going to be very high.
ESPN is getting stupid now.
What will be his initial 2K24 rating? I say 84.
I understand Wemby’s English more then some Americans. His English is really good
It's crazy to think he could lead his team to a couple of championships and yet not even be the best player in franchise history…at his position
They clearly haven’t been watching the Spurs AT ALL. They’ve got a guy they already believe is ready to take that Mikal Bridges leap—Devin Vassell. Keldon is going to get his, & Sochan is already an elite defender & growing his offensive game alongside Malaki Branham who is becoming a 3-level scorer right here in SL. If they land a another late lottery pick next year, so be it, yet internally, that’s not how they’re operating. They’ll see what they have, the pieces that work, & then, when the next disgruntled superstar wants out that matches more to the Wemby timeline, maybe a LaVine or someone else, they have more than enough assets to cash in those chips & not hurt their depth.
2K 24 just give Victor the ball ain't nobody going to stop him
His ppg was 18, not 27.2 where do you find this numbers?
Chiney acting like she has even an idea of the pressure and expectations on Vic’s shoulders is hilarious
I can't believe there are 3 women on that pannel of "experts". This is ridiculous.
Seriously, what a disappointment ESPN has become.
Its has nothing to do with equality, mens sports is highly profitable and they want a piece of that.
Everything about this kid, points to being nothing short of excellent
His face lit up when she said Greg Pops name, meaning he has a legit relationship with his coach, that matters
He said nothing about ROY, he said he wants to be better than every single no. 1 draft pick before him, and wants his team to win
He has a WINNING mindset
He just wants to win, the league is on watch y’all this kid is gonna be insane
So if he won’t play 82, which means he likely won’t play 65 with them “pioneering” load management.. he won’t qualify to win ROTY with the new rules? Interesting.
Yes.
We dont know if their to high we just know anything is possible in this league,
Ramona is sooooo overpaid and numb… sick of seeing her honestly, you cut some of the greats but keep her ESPN? Clueless 😂
Spurs winning more then 30 easy
