Honestly, wouldn’t 43 or 44 wins and a third straight year in play-in be a big letdown?
I know it kind of all depends on the field, but it would nice to get a softer opponent in the first round to get a little playoff confidence going.

Mavs and Warriors seem high to me
Teams always look better on paper but Suns, Warriors, Lakers, all getting older. Pelicans are a total mess.
I’m not too worried
Kings and wolves over easy. Pelicans under
The Clippers are so dependent on health. If, by some miracle, they have a healthy season, they should be in the playoff mix. They have a lot to figure out, though, I feel like a blowup should be coming soon for them.
If we stay healthy we’re top 5 in the West
Take the under on Denver, Lakers and Dallas. Obviously hammering the Wolves over
This seems fair.
44 wins is kinda what I think we do in the west this year. We have to expect some downtime from guys like KAT, Rudy, Mike and Slowmo. History shows they just aren’t healthy players anymore. But we can always have a year like the Kings last and get lucky on that front.
Now that I’m looking at this more.
I’m taking the under on three of those top four. All except the Suns.
Buying over on Mavs Grizz and Kings. I think these will be your regular season hero teams this year but not buying them as championship contenders.
What they can’t account for in these season projections is Ant.
I think its about right perhaps 6 seed. No proof the twin towers will work yet and not buying into the “Wolves are a top 4 seed” like last year. Gonna have to prove it to me.
Warriors and lakers a bit too high for my liking.
Same with the pelicans and mavs.
The oddsmakers are never far off, but I don’t see the Lakers being that high. There’s some really tough teams in the west, but I’d look to see some younger stars/teams start to step it up this year. Lebron, AD, Durant, Irving, the Warriors roster…. They’re age is sure to set in sometime, right? Meanwhile, the wolves, grizzlies, kings, thunder, and pelicans have some very hungry young guys ready to make a name. Should be an exciting year
Well I doubt the west will be as tight as it was last year, it’d be pretty insane to have b2b seasons with a conference that close. But that’s not necessarily good or bad for us, I am more bullish on us this season so I’m saying it’s a good thing
A take as old time. Minnesota sports teams being competitive regular season teams no one is really afraid of seeing in the playoffs.
I’m as big of a debby downer as it gets when it comes to the wolves. Based on what we saw last year this team should win closer to 50 games. It should have happened last year if they took care of business against the teams trying to lose.
I wonder what will prevent that this season? I predicted someone will get punched and it happened. Actually twice if you count the wall Jaden punched. If they play smart and take care of business, they win 50.
Besides the Nuggets, I truly believe we have the best combination of high end talent, depth, continuity, versatility, youth, and experience. As long as we can stay mostly healthy, I think it will pay off in a top 4 seed.
Win O/U and other betting lines continue to be determined by how likely the team is to be bet on to win
Easy money bet if you want to wrap it up for nearly an entire year.
Only injuries would be a factor and even with, we underperformed losing how many games vs the worst teams along with KAT missing most of the season.
At 48-50 wins I’d obviously hesitate, not worth betting, no edge, but here, easy bet.
It would be a massive let down imo
