LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves are locks. Gabe Vincent has a legitimate chance to steal DLO’s starting spot

I’m curious if Gabe Vincent will be the 3 point shooter he was in the playoffs, or in the regular Season. There is a pretty big difference.
Jovan Buha speculation piece.
It’s Buha, everybody. Nothing to see here.
It’s Buha yall
How nice that we have flexibility in who can finish in close games. Austin/AD/Bron a lock and then you can use whoever is playing well whether it’s Rui, DLo, Vando or Gabe.
I’m all about competition but people are underestimating Dlo and his fit for an 82 game season. Vincent really only gonna beat him out if he can out shoot Dlo. Defense ain’t gonna cut it (we saw that with Dennis already). The Dlo/Reaves regular season duo was super solid especially because AD and Bron demand your 2 best defenders.
Just like every year they say “everybody has a chance to compete for a starting spot”, but it’s going to be D’Lo. Not only is D’Lo largely better than Gabe, especially for the grind of the season, the team is going to do everything they can to up his potential trade value.
Booha just posts shit like this for engagement. Fuck that dude.
Why does everyone hate this writer? Hasnt he been covering the Lakers for like 3 seasons now
D’lo a good bet to sit out 15-25 games with assorted minor injuries, Vincent will be starting quite a few games anyway. If he develops into the full time starter. That frees us up to use D’lo in a trade.
There’s no way gabe is taking dlos spot
I don’t care for Buha but this is common sense. If one player is outplaying another at his position, why would he not start? Vincent is 2x the player D’lo is in the playoffs as well.
Question is whether Ham is going to keep the LBJ+bench units in the rotation. If so you start D’Lo and always play him with AD. If not, I think D’Lo can do a really good job dominating against regular-season bench lineups. In that case you play Vincent and LBJ together. As far as the other wing/forward spot, it’s going to depend on Rui/Vando’s respective offseason development.
Good he’s a better fit. Plays defense, and can play off ball within the offense.
Buha getting desperate.
Shelbourne “Not knowing how Cap works” vibe.
Honestly I hope DLo starts until the trade deadline so Vincent has fresher legs going into the playoffs as a starter
Nothing wrong with a little competition.
If D Lo is not starting he’s going to throw a temper tantrum.
There no way that the job starting doesn’t go to DLo at least to start of the season. Coaches generally favor the guys who were on the team the previous year to start the year off.
DLO needs to get traded for a wing at some point. JHS and Gabe Vincent can hold down point.
Buha has convinced me that I could become an NBA insider
A 44% catch and shooter with PG passing ability and hard nosed perimeter defensive effort stealing the job from a inefficient and inconsistent “basketball player” doesn’t found too far off from a LeBron led team. This guy won with Mario Chalmers and Avery Bradley let’s not forget
Buha when it comes to spouting absolute non sense with zero sources:

I see Buha, I downvote
Harmonious competition is good for everyone, let’s get it.
I mean this is very possible
Y’all really love the smell of your own shit. First you start Austin Reaves, a G-league level player. Then you double down on your obnoxiousness by overpaying him when no other team in the NBA was willing to offer him a dime. Now you’re talking about starting another G-league level player that is a career 33% shooter from 3. They could literally go sign a ton of players from the local park and y’all would cheer that as well.
You all will spend the next 8+ months justifying how Reaves is a good player despite his terrible numbers (13/3/3 on 30+ mpg, not great for the amount of mins he’s getting, definitely not starter level). Then when you take a detailed look at Reaves, he looks even worse. His passing is non-existent. His rebounding is non-existent. His defense is a massive negative. So this is a guy that needs the ball in his hands constantly, needs to play 30+ mpg, just to barely average double digit points, while giving you virtually nothing else.
Then you have Vincent. The Heat were one of the worst, if not the absolute worst, shooting teams last year and Vincent was a major part in that. Y’all are delusional if you think it’ll just magically get better this year. He is what he is at this point. He was a practice squad level player for a reason. He keeps getting cut for a reason.
I legitimately believe that as season goes on and into playoffs. Dlo will start, but Vincent will finish games.
You have AR and Vincent that can handle the ball and facilitate and hit the 3…. But not be a liability defensively.
Idk much about this guy Buha guy but everyone always says he’s wrong. What’s his history that makes everyone disregard his reports?
I think DLo should be the starter. He’s objectively a better regular season player than Vincent. Vincent can grind his way through the season like he did in the playoffs and his jumper is still a question. Dlo didn’t even shoot as well as he can with us, if he gets back to that it won’t even be a discussion.
Considering his lack of true or useful articles that this writer is at the Athletic is amazing
Buha is a joke. He hates D’Lo. Nothin to see here.
really need to stop reading this junk
Buha just throws general shit on the wall and see which one sticks. Honestly tired of him
Buha should be fired he never had a good reputation as a journalist Ion know how he got hired.
If Ruis 3 improvement is real just start him and Vando.
I want DLO to actually work for that starting spot. He shouldn’t assume he will just get it. He should know he can lose it
DLO gone by December. Let’s just be frank with each other. We all saw he got cooked on defense. It’s an amicable separation soon.
Also Buha: “I guarantee the Lakers will play basketball.”
