  1. Same reason they think they gone get Embid for Julius Randle, same reason they kept telling everybody Iman Shumpert was a star, same reason ESPN feature them every nite like everybody care about the Knicks. Nobody cares about the Knicks but New Yorkers and because they care, they think everybody else care.

  2. From a historical prospective, this was insightful and any true basketball fan should walk away with more appreciation for the games evolution and how the Garden was in the middle of a lot of those moments. Apparently there are talks to relocate it (again) so these next few years will be interesting, on top of the Knicks at present establishing themselves as one of the three best contenders coming out of the east. Knicks fans can truly look at the future optimistically for the first time in about thirty years 😂😂.

    Great great breakdown.

  3. The Knicks are historical because New Yorkers keep saying so🤣
MFers enjoy setting historical records against NYK lol

  4. OTHER THAN THE FACT….THAT THE KNICKS IS IN NEW YORK…. THATS THE ONLY REASON WHY THEY ARE HISTORIC……!!!! IF THE KNICKS MOVED TO VIRGINA BEACH….. OR TO TAMPA SOMEWHERE…..ELSE THEY WONT BE THINKING ABOUT THEM…..

  5. JUST FROM A TEAM HISTORY POINT……TO ME THERES NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT…..2 RINGS…..AS A FRANCHISE…..LOL…..LAST TIME THAY WON WAS IN 1973…………AND THEY HAVENT WON ANYTHING SINCE……!!!!

  6. I'm a die hard 52 year Knicks fan. I have had season tickets in the 80's, and package deals from then on. IMO, they are not a historic franchise. I'd give that title to Boston…. My most hated rival.

  7. I think if it weren’t for James Dolan, the Knicks would’ve had way more championship level teams in recent decades

  8. I'm from NYC and never understood it…. That's why I root for the Nets cause I've lived with delusional Knicks fans all my life….. The heat been here a shorter time and have more championship lmao 🤣🤣🤣

  9. It’s in their name and city. Knickerbocker club a powerful organization in the USA. Plus New York City is the Mecca.

  10. I think high a$$ taxes in the northeast free agents dont sign with teams like Boston, New York and Philadelphia they get players by trades or decent players in the draft. But those cities do get great coaches

  11. One of my favorite basketball films is Eddie. It may talk about the rise of a female coach leading an underdog squad of players to the playoffs but the one thing I love is that it’s essentially a love letter to basketball and most importantly the Knicks. Even as a Celtics fan, that film makes me root for New York, understand their desire to win, and overall love of the game. ☘️

  12. The only reason that the Knicks are a HISTORIC franchise that I can think of is they happen to be one of the ORIGINAL franchises from when the NBA first became a league.

  13. Lets keep it going, who did Steph Curry break the 3 point record against…the Knicks. What team was Melo playing for when he dropped a career high 60 points…the Knicks

  14. Knicks are HISTORICALLY trash af. They were an original member that's it. The NBA has be great without the Knicks being good. They don't even have a top 30 player all time. Hell, they never even had a league MVP. FOH 😂 Knicks 👎

  15. 1. One of the inaugural teams in the league.
    2. They literally play in the worlds most famous arena.
    3. They beat Chamberlain, West and Baylor(maybe the best big 3 ever) twice in the finals!
    4. The are the most profitable franchise(look it up)
    5. The rivalries with the Bulls, Heat and Pacers in the 90s
    6. The first 8th seed to make it to the finals
    7. The first team to have a black player
    8. 8 top 75 players of all time
    9. Marv Albert and Mike Breen are the voices for of the NBA, past and present.
    10. Mgs is the loudest arena in the NBA.

The fact that people question if the Knicks are a historical franchise is laughable, just because they been bad for a while doesn’t take away their history and accomplishments.

  16. When Shaq was in Orlando he always seem to pkay his best games against the Knicks he always when extra hard against Patrick

  17. I think it’s has more so to do with the fact or myth that basketball was founded in NY. And it also has to do with the arrogance of people from ny in general. Being from Virginia I hate people from ny. They think everything in ny is better regardless of where they moved to

  18. Come on now a lot of those HOF players that you named. Did not hwve hof careers in other the kicks. The knicks got them when they were washed up. And also Stephan malbury should also make the HOF. He the Chinese jordan

  19. Easy, because they are located in America’s premier city, and it’s one of the original franchises… they played the in and WON the first NBA game in 1946. They play in the worlds most famous arena, the biggest stage in entertainment. It’s the most valuable money wise ( going back n forth with the lakers) In NY everything ramps up, good or bad. That’s why so many opponents mark their calendars for the Knicks at the garden. The difference is we haven’t won in 50 years but whoever does come here and win just 1 for the Knicks they gonna be legendary. This is a similar deal with the NY Rangers

  20. As a Knicks fan, it’s cool to hear 2raw talk Knicks history. He knows his Basketball history…Thanks man.

  21. Their in the biggest media market in North America. Madison Square Garden in the 90's and the old Boston Garden are arenas I wish I could have visited. Madison Square Garden still around but the Knicks are garbage. 🗑
