Who you got?

I’ll tell you rn Murray and Jokic are NOT having the series they had last year against defenders like Kuzma, Caruso, KCP, and Dwight

Considering how much better in shape both bron and AD were, it should be lakers in 6 easily

  2. MrAppleSpoink

That 2020 team fucking crushes them. It wouldn’t even be close. LeBron was significantly better on both ends than he was this year, AD was a much better offensive player and Dwight would allow him to play the 4 and roam on defence while playing stellar defence on Jokic himself. Of course Jokic would be better now, but that couldn’t nearly make up for the difference on our end.

We pushed each game to the last few possessions with an injured roster that had 2 months to gel. Those bums are lucky they only faced injured teams, play in teams, or sometimes even both.

Jokic got no answer for 2020 Dwight bullying him

Lakers in 5. For 2023, 3 games were one or two possession contests against a hobbled Lebron and a historically poor backcourt performance from the Lakers. 2020 team crushes them.

  5. Important players people forget that were on Lakers: Dwight, KCP, Caruso, Javale, Kuz, Green, Rondo, Kieff, JR Smith, THT… Lakers were a great defensive team and very athletic. I think Lakers would take the series easily

  6. Physical-Lie-345

Pelinka did the Nuggets a favor by trading Kuz & KCP to Wiz. Doubt they would’ve gotten over the hump without KCP this past off season.

  7. Imma go with Lakers in 7. Do not underrate the Nuggets man no one could stop em this year

  8. CooperHouseDeals

The Lakers had a great coach. And I really mean a great coach. What ever happened to Vogel?

  9. A matchup between 2020 AD and 2023 Jokic would be amazing. Lakers in 7!

  10. nysraved

2020 Lakers probably easily take any team since the KD Warriors

Both LeBron and AD were playing at MVP levels. LeBron nearly averaging a 30 point triple double, AD close to 30 and 10. Both shooting greater than 56% from the field, greater than 37% from 3.

Nobody is stopping these guys when they’re healthy at that level, PLUS you got a perfect cast of complimentary players that all knew their role and bought into the schemes of our defensive minded coach

60/40 Lakers. And usually going 7. Would be incredible to watch.

I’m really hyped for the same matchup this year. Have it 40/60 Lakers now and also going 7. Fingers crossed for a fully healthy WCF meeting.

    Probably the Nuggets in 7.

A lot of people here are still underrating Jokic. Dwight would help, but the guy is so much better even than he was in 2020. He’s a monster, even if he doesn’t look it.

Lmao. Imagine asking this question in a Lakers sub and expecting objectivity. You should try doing it in the Nuggets sub. I bet, the answers will differ.

  14. Lakers KCP < Nuggests KCP.
Fan of both teams, but never have I been so mad and so happy about a player at the same time.

  15. BigSmoke2023

Current lakers kept every game close till the final stretch of minutes. I have no doubt 2020 lakers would have obliterated them in 4 to 5 games. Not even being biased. Bron was bron and AD was at his peak playing out of his mind barely missing jumpers. Which looked liked one of the best 2 way players to ever play the game. 4-1 book it

  16. Holiday_Ad2638

2020 Lakers were healthy and had players to bother Murray.

Our defense back then was one of the most elite I’ve seen. We’d go on stretches where we went all out and it would be nearly impossible for the other team to score, I think only the KD warriors would have given us problems on that end. Our offense wasn’t amazing but between fast breaks caused by our D, Bron being able to score at will and AD shooting lights out from mid range and 3, I think we’d take them in 7. These nugs are vastly improved but our defense that year was special

  18. Se7entyN9ne

Whaaaat?! A Lakers sub is saying the Lakers would win? But ya I think so too, 2 mvp caliber players vs 1 both with great supporting casts.

  19. Cdaddy28

Also the fact there is no travel / elevation to deal with in 2020, gives me the nod to that team (if played in bubble)

  20. KingNephew

2020 Lakers in 6. Would’ve said 5 but Jokic elevated even further to all time great level. But 2020 Lebron and AD shooting like KD that run+the best defensive guard rotation would be too much.

  21. YungTokyo8

Nuggets easily. Fan of neither team so I can say unbiasedly. Although that lakers team was nuts this nuggets team is simply different.

  22. ablackcloudupahead

Us. We were a steamroller that entire playoffs. Also, even though we were swept this year we only lost by 24 total points, which is probably the closest total for a sweep I’ve seen. Having Dwight rough up Joker was huge that year and probably why that was the last time Joker was out of shape

  23. Royal-Mongoose9015

Is this a joke? Not even close. I’ll say the same thing I said before the WCF:

    Denver in 4
