  1. The less rockies talk the better, the owner does not care so why should we ( it won't matter because minions are still showing up to the ballpark anyways so this will all stay the same and this comment means nothing )

  2. Hearing D-Line and Adam talk about the avalanche is content I never knew I needed until I heard this conversation lol 😅

  3. Peter Forsberg-if you can call him a running mate-is in HOF despite injuries costing him many hundreds of career games-was the best player on earth for a few yrs(when healthy)-& won a reg season scoring title,& MVP. He retired something like 4th Alltime in asst per game-despite a big chunk of his career being in clutch,& grab, lower scoring era. Missed the entire 2002 reg season-came back,& LED THE ENTIRE NHL PLAYOFFS IN SCORING DESPITE NOT EVEN MAKING THE FINALS! Losing in 7 to 1 of the most talented teams in NHL history-2002 Detroit.

Kinda tough for me to consider him a "running mate"-cuz when healthy-I think he was their best player for awhile.(Taking Roy out of it-goalies are a different deal) But he was 2c-behind Sakic-a top 15-20ish Alltime great. Forsberg/Sergi Federov were similar in they both won MVPs,& made the HOF-but were 2c cuz legends Yzerman & Sakic would always be 1c captains. Sakic clearly had the much better career resume,& has to be ranked higher on any "all time" lists. Resume, cumlative production, stats, longevity,& consistency-that all has to factor in that discussion. And obviously Sakic was the far superior goal scorer. But when healthy-Forsberg was the better player-my opinion. And not just my opinion. Players like Nick Lindstrum (best dman Ive ever seen-Makar might catch him someday)say no disrespect at all to Sakic-but Forsberg was the guy they schemed 1st,& foremost to slow down.

Real point here is how unbelievably talented teams like 2001 Avs,& 2002 Detroit were. Still the 2 most talented teams Ive seen in 28 yrs of watching the NHL. It is litterally impossible to be that deep,& talented today-cuz of the cap. Theres an argument the 2022 Avs are the best team in Av history-relative to how dominant they were against teams in their own era. But not an argument-my opinion-that they had more pure talent or depth than 2001. Today you could never have 2cs as talented,(& expensive)-as Forsberg or Federov. 2002 Detroit had like double dogit future HOFers on the same team. You dont see that today,& we likely never will again. Its why its only fair to compare teams from different eras-relative to the competition in their day. 2022 Avs are the best in team history-my opinion-based on how dominant they were vs the competition in their day-the only fair way to judge teams from different eras,& under different rules on,& off the ice. But no way do I think 2022 Avs were as deep or talented as 2001-or could jump in a time machine,& go beat 2001. I loved Naz Kadri-an Allstar in 2022-but he wasnt close to Peter Forsberg. So ya gotta factor in-Forsberg was doing it against teams like that-& Dallas who were allowed to assault,& batter him under the rules back then-& had several future HOFers also. Peter would be unstoppable under todays rules. If healthy-hed be putting up Mcdavid like point totals. Granted hed also get called for many more penalties & get thrown out of a few more games-but hed adjust if he played today.

But if we can call Forsberg a "running mate"-Id say hes the best ever in Colorado sports history,& only Terrel Davis is even close. TD might win this-if his career wasnt hit by injuries-even more than Forsberg. Peter had a long career-he just missed a lot of games. TD litterally had a short career cuz of injuries. But dude ran for 2,000 yds,& you could argue was the best running back in NFL history-over 3 yr span. But cuz he was elite for longer,& those Avs not only won 2 titles-like TDs Broncos-but made 4 straight WCFs,& 6 of 7. Playing in the west with those Red Wings,& Dallas…that Av team was very close to winning 4 or 5 Cups in 7 yrs. Losing game 7 of WCFs 3 times-so Id side with Forsberg on this 1.
