I saw this coming the moment they signed DSJ
I hope Sumner is able to find another opportunity and have a success story similar to Bruce Brown.
Love Sumner a whole lot, I hope he goes to a contender that isn’t Phoenix and proves himself again. Can’t judge this yet bc it feels like more is to come. Curious why they let him go
Damn…
Sad to see but I sadly don’t think he would’ve gotten many minutes with Dinwiddie, DSJ, Lonnie, Mikal and Thomas all taking up the majority of the guard minutes
They did him a disservice not releasing him at the beginning of free agency. Hope he excels wherever he goes
Boo!! he played well when he got the opportunity and should have played more
I’m going through it right now. We’ve traded or released everyone I cared about a lot outside of the trade pieces we received… Except Claxton! Please don’t trade Claxton
He played hard and exceeded expectations every single time he touched the court while being a class act off the court and this is what he gets in return, it’s a cruel business. I have no doubt that he’ll land on a team and get legit playtime that he deserves.
Wow. We lost all our hardest workers
I thought the reason they pushed back his option date was to use him in a trade, guess not.
Damn so sad I hope he can get signed somewhere else before the season starts. The Heat might need a backup guard after trading everything they possibly can for Dame.
