Throughout NBA history the best duos are ones where both players score a lot. Usually it’s a guy averaging a ton of points. And another who puts up numbers that make you optimistic about the idea of them being the main guy on a team given the opportunity. Which almost always the case with NBA title teams. As well as teams that are contenders year in and year out. However when I look at the Detroit Pistons I think differently.
Obviously I think Cade Cunningham is the guy on the team. I think he has MVP candidate potential. And based of NBA history you would probably think that Jaden Ivey is the second part of the duo. Considering he showed potential to be a 20+ppg guy at multiple points of his rookie season. However I don’t look at Ivey as the second part of the Pistons duo of the future.
I actually look at Jalen Duren as the second part of the Pistons duo of the future. Duren averaged less than 10ppg as a rookie. And that’s not to say he didn’t have a good rookie season. Because he had a really good rookie season. But it wasn’t a rookie season that you would expect from a second half of a potentially elite duo. Especially with the numbers Jaden Ivey put up as a rookie. But the reason I believe Jalen Duren is the second half of the duo next to Cade. Goes beyond the numbers.

It’s going to be Cade and Ivey they are going to play very well off each other the duo that duren will have is with Thomson on the defensive end him and duren are going to be secondary playmakers between Ivey and Cade in my opinion
I think shai and chet will be the next big duo shai is already an mvp caliber player and chet has star potential.

Bagley is slept on in all this. If he stays healthy he’ll be good for close to 20pts and 10reb nightly.
FACTS
Detroit has a hyra 4 headed monster in Cade, Ivey, Duren and Ausar. Everyone keeps making videos trying to separate them as a unit but if the Pistons are going to be a dynasty it's going to be because of all 4.
