Lukewarm. Going to miss Strus and his play in game got us into the playoffs but his shot was so up and down. J-Rich is a plus defender with similair percentages albeit on lower volume.

  2. ItsYaBoyBeasley

Anybody who disagrees literally doesn’t know ball imo

  3. Free-Boater

This is not a hot take it’s highly likely

  4. Stovecooks_

Josh Richardson is a better defender and has a consistent mid range shot so I wouldn’t call it a hot take

  5. 100%. He’s a completely different type of player and very dynamic at that.

He played as the first scorer when he was on the heat and then played 2nd/3rd/4th scorer roles on other teams. His defense and length will be incomparable.

HOPEFULLY we’re able to keep Duncan in any lillard trade so we don’t lose all our sharpshooters though. Josh is not a sit in the corner and shoot kinda guy like max and Duncan are

  6. simplelessons

I mean he can’t play worse than Strus in the playoffs and that’s all that matters.

Imo It’s not really that hot of a take to think that a 2 way player can outplay a sharpshooter

Max Strus has “Tyler Johnson” written all over him as in he will decline once he leaves the Heat system

  9. iampro1234

Not really a hot take, jrich outplayed him this past season on both ends of the court on a worse team

I don’t think it’s very unlikely. Sturs was great in the playoffs, expect the finals, but him and Gabe looked awful all season long. Could not buy a bucket. I was begging spo to give Duncan more minutes because strus looked terrible

  11. I don’t think it’s that hot of a take. Strus wasn’t some world beater last season and Josh had his best seasons with us.

  12. TheWizardOfDeez

Heat role players tend to be bad on other teams and J Rich has at least been consistent since leaving the squad the first time, which is more than we can have ever said about Max. This really isn’t a hot take.

  13. lolvalue

It’s very fair, Spo will make sure if it and Cleveland is a mess and won’t use him well.

  14. trustabro

Might defend better but I think he might not shoot as well from 3

  15. OhMyItzBam_Herro305

Definitely not a hot take if u were a Heat fan when Heat drafted Jrich in the 2nd round.

  16. PetrPeter

all this max slander is crazy.. yes jrich is obviously better but damn. this dude was the heart of team quite a few games this season

  17. realbrotherhood77

Im pretty sure the centerpiece of the Jimmy butler trade will be better than Strus.

This is a bad take. Simply put Straus is going to get a lot of open 3 looks especially from the corner the way the Cavs are setup. Okoro got those looks a ton and just couldn’t make them. Straus kind of landed in the perfect sport for his skill set. They don’t need him to handle the ball he just needs to hit the corner 3 at a high rate which is his speciality.

If the Heat don’t trade for Lillard then I think Richardson is a better fit for the Heat because he is a better ball handler. If the Heat make the trade then Richardson usage is going to be non existent with Lillard and Butler and Straus would be a better catch and shoot fit with those guys.

Out plays? Lol dude always steps out of bounds

  20. Verumsemper

Josh Richardson is and has always been a better player in almost every measurable and non-measurable manner than Strus. Josh’s ability to play 1-3 and defend 1-3 is why he was the primary scorer for the Heat while he was one team. This is why when people like ” The Truth” talk about Miami losing depth, I am amused. In a way Josh is a combination of Gabe and Strus. By the way, Jamal Cain will offer more than Strus. That is a Hot take but I will stand by it.

  21. Rebound-Bosh

I fully expect it and would be disappointed otherwise

(And I like Max– his blocks were low key clutch)

  22. Bright_Bite365

Highly likely and I hope is the case…

  23. doyouunderstandlife

Defensively yes, offensively, I think Max probably plays better.

  24. Happy he got paid, glad it wasnt us that paid him.
