Vando has a role on this team. He turned our defense up and has a potential IMO to develop an okay shot which would make him even more valuable

He gave us an identity and infused energy onto this team. Might even be the Anti Christian Wood

  2. FOH hahah and we get clowned for making ridiculous offers

  3. CSGOW1ld

Cranjis tweeted that he would accept this deal btw

No way we are going to trade away a D specialist like Vando. He is a massive part of why we ended up as the best Defensive team post-trade deadline.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Not sure who’s more delusional spurs or mavs

  7. fartlapse

if they even entertain this, I’d be more than pissed

lmao give mav a doncic stopper for a traffic cone plus ball hog hell no. Mavs gm must be high.

Calm down everyone lol, nobody is reporting that this is even considered.

All Stein is reporting is that the Mavs would be open to S&T Wood in certain situations. This basically reads as Dallas telling Wood’s camp “We know you don’t have any above minimum offers so feel free to look for a sign and trade with a cap space team and we’ll consider it if it makes sense. But we’re not taking on a contract we don’t want, we’d rather just let you walk”

Quinn is just following up with a mathematical reality. IF the Lakers were to pursue a sign and trade for Wood to get him above the minimum, Vanderbilt is literally the only trade eligible player with a salary in that ballpark.

I was sold on Vando after that 26 point Mavs comeback. FO should NOT trade him away

What Vanderbilt gives is infectious effort and things that are usually difficult to teach defensively.

What Wood offers is another grown ass man that needs convincing to work hard on both ends.

Y’all holding onto Vando for dear life like he wasn’t unplayable in the playoffs. He’s a fun player to root for but there’s a reason he’s been traded so many times despite being young and a great defensive player.

Offensive specialists > defensive specialists, especially with this roster. Tho, Vando if he develops a corner 3 >>>

If the argument is that Vando was unplayable in the playoffs wtf does that mean for Wood who is small as shit and can’t guard bigs? At least Vando can guard elite guards and perimeter players.

  14. asianboy89

Now it makes even less sense that we gave up Schroder if Vando goes.

  15. Basic_Commercial_806

Vando is Lakers best POA defender on guards. They’ll lose to the almost all playoffs teams if they trade him.

I love vando but I have to admit there’s a lot of people looking at him with purple and gold tinted lenses. He’s an elite on ball defender and is young with potential BUT he is a complete offensive liability. He can’t finish, can’t shoot and he got played off the court in multiple playoff series because teams just stopped guarding him. He even starting losing minutes towards the end of the regular season because opposing teams got smarter. Then when you factor in that we are now a wing heavy team. We have a log jam at the wing but we have no backup center at all. Christian wood is a better fit. Don’t forget that we’re gonna have to pay vando AND Christie this year when we just paid Austin and RUI. There is a big chance that at the end of this season , we pay christie but lose vando for absolutely nothing just like how we paid tht and lost Caruso. They’re not paying both . When you factor in all of this , it’s not a terrible idea. A stretch big would help out offense so much . I would really miss vando but I get the logic behind doing it.

  17. akosdomino

Ahh hell nah there is no way Pelinka would trade him

  18. LudwigNasche

I’d send Vando for Luka and I’d even throw Dlo to help matching salaries lol

  19. Theingloriousak2

Vanderbilt is unplayable because his offense is worse than woods defense

100% take the guy that’s a walking 20 Ppg off the bench

  20. TheWonderfulLife

FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT SHIT!

    Vando Calrissian stays.
