Would we want any of these guys? |Report: Multiple teams monitoring OKC Thunder’s roster crunch

This is the current OKC roster. They need to cut 6 of these guys from the NBA roster.

1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
2. Luguentz Dort
3. Josh Giddey
4. Jalen Williams
5. Chet Holmgren
6. Vasilije Micic
7. Ousmane Dieng
8. Isaiah Joe
9. Kenrich Williams
10. Jaylin Williams
11. Cason Wallace
12. Jack White
13. Davis Bertans
14. Aleksej Pokusevski
15. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
16. TyTy Washington Jr.
17. Tre Mann
18. Victor Oladipo
19. Aaron Wiggins
20. Usman Garuba
21. Rudy Gay (just waived)

Supposing we can grab some of those players with picks and small-contract players (and it’s OKC so that’s not a bad assumption)…who do we take?

Personally, I think Isaiah Joe is the move we could do here. He took a big step last year, was a fantastic shooter and good defender. He’s almost certainly better than Pritchard already, and a bit younger, and on a $2mill contract.

Plus, he won’t ever start consistently in OKC while they’re committed to Giddey and Shai. And OKC just spent money bringing over Micic from Europe. Micic is 29, but he was Euro MVP very recently, so he will be higher in the rotation.

I think we could try sending picks to OKC to take Joe on an exemption, or we could send Pritchard down and take Joe back, slim down the salary while improving the roster.

Who would you take? What are your thoughts?

Should pick up Jack White just for the sick guitar riffs

If they cut the players, unfortunately the same routine plays out… First, the right of first refusal goes to the Lakers and the Heat as virtually every player in the NBA wants to play there. Next, the recent champs get next dibs like Denver, Golden State and Milwaukee. Usually followed up by the recent Super team, like the Suns. If any of those teams don’t want or sign them, the Celtics might have an off chance at signing one of them if there is mutual interest.

Tre Mann for sure seems like a nice dude and good player would not mind him

Brad and the front office have scouted these guys and I trust their judgement. Tre Mann, Usman Garuba, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and TyTy Washington are all very young and could be worth taking a flier on

I wish Victor Oladipo was healthy.

I’d take him in a heartbeat

If Tre Mann somehow gets cut we should go for him. But they can probably get a pick for him

If they cut Oladipo (though they prob won’t) we should 100% try to get him.

Lu Dort or Jaylin Williams for defense to a bit of offense purposes but idk if they’d move them
