Interesting to note the focus is around any player do they fit around Brunson. I wonder how the FO views Randle llong term with this team.

We are fortunate as fans to have talent like Katz on the beat.

I am honestly getting tired of this discourse.
I will go on record that, on at least a mindset of “does he get us further in the playoffs,” I honestly don’t know if Embiid actually takes us further than where we got last year. He’d be expensive to trade for, and assuming Randle is not in the deal, how would he and Embiid work on the floor? I just don’t know if Embiid would help us that much compared to what we have now, and trading for Embiid only to lose in the 2nd round again would look very bad.

Not falling for this nor pay it any mind until Embiid requests out and or until he has a Knicks jersey on. Until then I will continue watching my Trevor Keels highlights

No thanks. Let him flop somewhere else.

Probably won’t happen this season. Now NEXT off-season it becomes a STRONG possibility. But as of now, Philly is intent to run it back with Harden and see what star they can bring in with all of their cap space in 2024 free agency. If they can’t land anyone and Harden walks for nothing, then Embiid is definitely requesting out. Patience will pay off.

They have found success in being the exact opposite of the Knicks of 2000-2018. That said, I feel to win a championship they do need to raise their ceiling somehow. Trading for Embiid would be risky from a compensation and injury perspective, but he IS the reigning MVP so I think it’s worth it and wouldn’t just be a repeat of the Carmelo era.

This is a post anyone on this subreddit could’ve written. No reporting, just summarizing the situation. Find it hard to believe anyone who subscribes to the Athletic doesn’t already know all of this, but it’s the dog days of summer and NYT might be asking for more of this “catch me up” content to lure more people to the Athletic beyond the junkies
