    > “It’s basically giving him the nod like, ‘Hey, it’s OK that you’re taking those shots. It’s OK that you’re taking those midrange (shots) because we need you to take them.’ Because, like I said, it’ll open up other opportunities for [Tatum and Brown].”

League ain’t ready for Robs KG era

Rob has shown a nice midy, I would be much more excited if he developed a post game though.

I seriously hope this works. Love Rob so much, but the man needs to generate some more points and opportunities for himself.

Good. Rob was passing the ball out for 3 after getting it under the basket sometimes, without even looking at the hoop. He’s a good passer but needs to be more of a scoring threat offensively

Even if he was more aggressive AT the basket. He’s a great passer so he’s quick to fling it out or look for a cutter if he gets it down low or grabs an offensive board. He could definitely be more selfish around the rack. He has a pretty good touch.

Gonna get downvoted for this but there just isn’t a world where Rob taking mid range shots or threes is better for our offense than him crashing the glass. He’d have to hit 60% of his mid rangers or 40% of his threes and that isn’t happening. Just let him develop his finishing around the basket

The more confidence Rob has in himself to call his own number offensively the better, especially with Smart being traded who was easily the team’s best lob passer(how is it so hard to properly throw lobs to a dude with a 7’6 wingspan?).

The C’s really need Rob to be more willing to create some of his own offense more often. I’m not saying that he has to become a 15 PPG guy next season, but he’s averaged just 7.4 FGAs per 36 the last 2 seasons, basically 95% of which are all spoon fed attempts off of dump offs or lobs. If Rob can stay healthy and play around 28-ish MPG I really want to see him hover around 9-10 shots per game as well.

Yes. Unleash Rob, go double big. Re-sign Blake for big depth, and have him do the Horford replacement thing from last year but just for whoever is out between Horford, Timelord, and Porzingis. Luke is good enough as a fourth big during the regular season.

Adding to his bag and getting more aggressive are good things for Rob, but first and foremost I just hope he’s in the best shape of his life and healthy.

Honestly, I just want Rob making more decisions as a facilitator. I do agree mid-range will force defenders to adjust to him and contest, but with the addition of KP, all Rob really needs to do is set screens, be a vertical threat that he always is, and pressure the defense with his ability to make timely passes for cutters and off-ball actions.

    (Bring back Dimelord.)

This will also help his knees as he won’t have to fly at the basket as much

Inject Rob jumpers from the low block into my veinnnnns. Dude is so fucking tall, that opens up a lot of opportunities for his offense besides catching lobs.

I remember Tatum talking about that during the regular season after a game.

Rob taking some elbow jumpers a la early Al Horford would be enormous for spacing, especially if he plays next to Porzingis in the starting lineup

I am dismayed when I fail to see Rob playing up smaller bigs. He should be getting 16 points a night from low post and FTs.
