I am 100% a homer and was outside the stadium that night, but I think/hope this will be revered appropriately as a historic closeout Finals performance as time goes on. 50 points on efficient shooting on a night where the Bucks rotation was effectively 7 deep, Pat C was -21 and PJ scored 0 points. 17-19 from the line was a poetic way for Giannis to earn a ring. All only a few short weeks after bending his leg inward. Crazy.

Giannis is undeniably an exciting player, but him scoring 50 just doesn’t seem as impressive or exhilarating as other players who’ve had similar performances. I counted like 5 jumpshots, and almost all of his scoring is him just overpowering/running through his defender and laying the ball up. Like, there’s no flow to this jaw-dropping statline.
