I’m all for getting off his contract if we get 1 year deals back from the Clippers.
The only issue is if we do a hard reset this year to free up cap space for the following year, we are wasting a year of Embiid’s prime.
Don’t think we have a good path to compete for a title next year unfortunately.

When was the last time a team with an MVP had potentially 2 max slots available? It’s definitely a competitive advantage and with the lack of assets the sixers currently have, it makes a ton of sense to have cap space for 2024. (Whether they sign a player or use cap space to take in a guy like Lavine)
I’m starting to be okay with potentially “punting” a year. It will be fun to watch Maxey fully get the keys and watch him and other younger players truly develop. So if they over exceed it would be really fun. Plus they will still be a playoff team. Prob 4 or 5 seed
