It’s not insight. It’s two dudes in their parents’ basement.
This isn’t even news it’s 200% pure speculation. I think anyone with a brain understood when we made this pick for scoot dame was gone.

It’s actually hilarious how much Miami fans are leaching on to the least respected media members in Portland.
First they discovered Sean Highkin

Because Sean Highkin is a really solid reporter
Then they discovered Aaron Fentress
And I did not speak out
Because he’s a bit of an outcast in Portland media
Then they discovered C*****o
And I did not speak out
Because he’s a joke
Then they discovered the streamers
And I did not speak out
Because no one takes them seriously

And they ignored him because they don’t like what he has to say.
This hasn’t been confirmed by any other source.
It’s speculation.
I don’t doubt that Eric has a source…… but my gut says it’s a member of Dame’s family or maybe even Dame’s agent. It’s CLEARLY someone who has a bias, because everything they report is heavily slanted towards Dame’s point of view.
But I personally find it completely ridiculous that Dame expected the team to come out say that the meeting went badly. Even if they did give them a trade request, Haynes even admitted that no other team in the history of the league has ever confirmed a trade request publicly while it was active.
So was Joe supposed to come out and say, “Dame wants out….. anyone want him?” This is the whole reason why we got shit offers for the pick in the first place. Dame can’t keep his mouth shut.
Edit – last point is that it’s Dame’s own fucking mouthpiece (Haynes) who made it known that they were having that meeting in the first place. Dame has been pushing the team into the corner since the season ended.
Resisting my urge to call these guys hacks because people always tell me I’m too hard on them for making up rumors.

This just in, my cat a known Trailblazers expert and respected podcast host of the show “Trailblazer talk with cat” just spoke with Dames cat who confirmed he does indeed play professional basketball.

I don’t consume these guys’ content but the Trail Blazers employ at least a few hundred people. Add in coaches, players, front office and support staff, their families and social circles, etc., and you could have upwards of a few thousand “insider” sources with an obvious range of reputability. Not to mention any number of motivations behind what they’re sharing and to whom.
I trust that they have a “source,” second-hand though it may be from Canzano. I just doubt the veracity of said source…unless these guys have broken news before and I missed it. Seems more like a couple dudes who know someone who knows someone.
Speculation built on speculation. BTW I know this sub loves to dunk on Canzano but he’s by far the most respected, connected journalist in Portland (outside of Blazer fans). Hate him or not, he has sources.
