160 pounds soaking wet and half of that was his heart. A complex flawed man for sure but as genuine as any superstar the NBA ever had.

One of the funniest youtube comments I ever read was on this video:
“This dude got so emotional about him, Aaron Mckie damn near had to check himself if he died”
Pele_Of_Anal
Favorite NBA player of all time. Ridiculous amount of heart in him. GOAT quoter too.

> Shoutout to his daughter for comforting her father
She also helped inspire clapping soon as AI even mentioned McKie…so much emotional intelligence & empathy for a loved one, especially from a child
CursedAttempt
One of my all time favorite players that has ever touched a basketball, so happy I was able to see this man play.

When I was a kid I wanted to be like AI. Things didn’t work out but I’m happy I can still say he’s on my top 3 favorite players of all time. Love you AI

God damnit I love AI. That little girl is an angel, choked me up when she rubbed his arm to comfort him.

I used to love Aaron McKie. He always reminded me of a father on the court. Not sure why. He had this presence about him. Looks like I was right about him.
Also shouts to AI’s little girl sensing his emotions and give him that soft touch. Super wholesome.

One of the true heroes of basketball. A real legend. You got the sense when you watched him that you were a part of something. AI was a rock star.

Ai was ever pgs role model. For those who didn’t watch him, he was like Westbrook but was actually goated.

I was a highschool freshman during the 01 finals run. AI was a pop culture icon. Even Shaq says he was the toughest guy in the league. I was born at Temple University so mckie always was a home town hero for me. MVP, coty, 6moy, dpoy. It was a wild year and the Lakers were undefeated in the playoffs going into the finals. AI hits the big shot over Lou with the famous step over for the win. We of course lost the series but that team was a rough and tough squad Philly could get behind
WhatShouldTheHeartDo
The reason why Iverson is my favorite player, why I buy his reeboks and custom paint them, make videos on bro, I have his jerseys and everything.
He wore his heart on his sleeve, like no one else.
