Why would anyone have a problem with putting "say her name" on the back of a jersey? Republicans like to trivialize anything that is important to people who don't embrace their party line. Maybe the NBA’s decline is because you can’t watch the playoffs if you don’t have cable. I love the NBA playoffs, but haven’t watched in years.

Popovich has proved that you work and you become the best at your job you get paid well. Well said Coach Pop. Columbus never set foot in the continental United States. I believe he landed in the Dominican Republic, raped and killed many of the Caribe Indians. Ted Cruz is one of the most hated politicians even in his own party. And such a great point, these goons took an oath to keep Country over Party.

Remembering Columbus allows us to not repeat the mistakes of our ancestors and acknowledges that we would not exist without his discovery. American Indians were not kind to each other before first contact and even enslaved each other. Some American Indian tribes owned black slaves in the South. American Indians are only human too.

He’s kind of contradicting himself in a way if you look at what he says broadly. I agree that Columbus was a bad man who came heavily armed and took advantage of a less advanced civilization which technologically speaking were essentially helpless children against the Spanish. To dumb it down, the powerful assaulted the weak. Had the natives been equally as advanced and armed, history would be different because the Spanish wouldn’t have had a chance. These mass shootings all happen in gun free zones, these monsters are targeting unarmed children. They perceive themselves as “powerful” so they assault the weak. It’s all a cycle of evil, hurt people hurt people. That being said, you don’t remove the right for people to protect themselves or all hell would break loose. Take the slingshot from the good Shepard and all the sheep will be left for the wolves. Evil doesn’t go anywhere just because the time, culture, and tools to commit atrocities change. At the end of the day, the majority of us are on the same side we just have different ways of viewing the problem. The division is strong currently in this country but there’s definitely a middle ground somewhere. Wishing y’all peace, love, happiness, and an open mind to different viewpoints ✌️
