    Who were they bidding against for Ayo? Themselves…AGAIN. $7m per year is a lot for your 5th guard, especially when you need PFs and Cs.

    We definitely need a lot of help at rush end. The Ayo deal is a little rich but he’s got a good ceiling IMO

    I believe their top target is Justin Houston who has connections to Poles & Flus. Use him like Phil Jackson used Bill Cartwright. Nurse him thru a game & a season given his age. Maybe just using him on obvious passing downs most of the time.. With some luck by doing this maybe Justin is reasonably fresh at the end of the season & for a playoff game or two.

    Yeah your right kap you can't listen too other people in chicago such as 670 the score they don't know what there talking about that's why I only listen too espn 1000 now those guys suck and they say and put out false fake information espn is the best

    As soon as possible? Are you kidding ? Poles has had plenty of time to get this done and sometimes you have to be willing to overspend. As soon as I heard Poles say he thought we would sign an edge sooner than later I was skeptical. Are we so bad that we are waiting to fill this need by waiting for other teams to cut an edge rusher ? Whether it is culture fit, age, money, scheme fit I am amazed they have not signed someone. Poles is the most respected GM I have ever seen with a 3-14 record. We will soon see if he hit on draft picks and free agents. Without a lot of depth we are a few injuries away from having another losing season. Hope I am wrong.

    I'll be disappointed if they don't , it would be a real sign the bears aren't trying to win this year . They need someone on third and long .
