The Celtics can offer Brown a contract worth up to $304 million, which would be the largest total contract in NBA history. According to Steve Bulpett of Heavy, the Celtics have shut down Brogdon trade talks from other NBA teams, as the Celtics intend to keep Brogdon on Joe Mazulla’s Celtics roster to start the 2023-24 NBA season. Brogdon got injured in the 2023 NBA playoffs, but is still a valuable member of the Celtics’ backcourt alongside Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.

Brown is a developing player. Don't think he's worth the supermax at this time. But the flip side is if he's traded we'll live with regrets 😢😢😢😢In five years or less he'll be one of the greatest players in the league.

Because Brown stepped up for us before is why he gets a pass for this season for me but Tatum is supposed to be the #1 and he wasn’t it this year either…!!! He doesn’t consistently produce like a # 1 in the playoffs…! He didn’t this year or when Brown carried us as the #2…!!!!!
