Have to think this would already be done if it didn’t need a third team. Just don’t see a way mavs land him directly without overpaying

Nurkic is a negative asset. No one is trading FOR Nurkic. He’s likely part of the price for someone to get Dame.
Nurkic can’t even play a whole season. With Capella you can at least get a good Center who you can bank on producing good protection and then grooming Lively to be a better Center.
I heard a rumor that Indiana atl and Toronto have been talking to the mavs about doing a multi team trade. I heard each team wants to to move Pascal, Turner, Capela, Toronto wants picks to rebuild and dallas wants to move THJ. No clue who’s going where though
Over pay, Mavs go nowhere with Powell as the main player at center.
Then they could unload some contracts later, Powell needs to come from the bench, the prospects of the Mavs being able to go deeper in the pay off run comes from having a decent center.
Not a knock on Powell he is just not a starter in any other team.
