Cap One doesn’t rate highly among NBA arenas

Game day vibes at Wizards games can be pretty sorry & uninspired. Funny that you can go to a Capitals game the night after a Wizards game and Capital One Arena has turned into this container of crazy energy and excitement, even last season when the Capitals were kinda doo-doo. please don’t tell me “but but DC is a transient city ☝️”

  1. Getting a ring buys you a lot of goodwill from the fans. I still remember how crowded it was outside of Capital One Arena before, during, and after game 5 of the Stanley Cup. It was like being at a packed music festival.

Even without the ring the Capitals have had more playoff success and the GOAT scorer in Ovi. People are coming out to see him chase the record even when the Capitals are no longer contenders and even though he has questionable ties to Putin. It’s hard to really compare the two franchises.

It’s nice but it’s vanilla. There’s nothing special about it but at least there’s nothing actually bad.

  3. It’ll be interesting to see what happens now with no beal to blame. Hopefully all the fans that wanted a rebuild fill up Cap One and cheer on the young guys like Bilal, Deni, Corey and Gaff

Legit just talked to my supervisor about this. He said that if he’s at a location that has a hockey team already(Vegas) he wouldn’t want an NBA Team to come later because it then will split the fans. I then told him that has been NO issue for the Caps, and the Caps and Wizards have the same owner.
