Imagine how much they would’ve paid him if he could dribble with both hands
BREAKING: Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax contract extension with the franchise, per sources. This is the richest deal in NBA history, negotiated by agent Jason Glushon.

Wow that is quite the contract
😬 highest paid player in NBA history
This will be an albatross worse than the Bradley Beal contract in about six months.
Wow, so he would be worth $120 million a year if he could play with both hands?
Holy crap. Browns a very good player but that is ridiculous. Over 60m a year? Isn’t that almost half of the teams total salary cap per year?
The man can’t dribble the fucking basketball. He can score, sure, but his highlights of *losing his dribble* are incredible. He can’t consistently do one of the most essential functions of the sport and he just got the highest paid contract in history. Wild. The Celtics got their man.
Good Job Celtics! The Eastern Conference as a whole would like to applaud your incompetence. 300m for Jalen Brown is wildly insane 😳
Giannis for 228 million is literally a steal
People are going to dunk on Boston for this because it truly is a massive contract but it’s kind of just the same thing (albeit with a much higher figure) as the Bucks re-signing both Khris and Brook as they age. You either overpay for the good players you already have (because you have the bird rights), or you lose them and can’t really replace them because you run up against the cap.
Soon as he’s eligible he’ll still ask to be traded.
They’d have paid him the exact same amount if he could dribble because this is how the NBA works dude
