Hearing what maxey said he’s adding to his game this offseason has me hype.
I understand that Maxey is not currently a lead guard right now, but you only become that by playing in that role. I'm of the belief that he can be a great point guard. If you look at the league today, many of the superstar point guards don't play like Chris Paul. You look at Dame, Steph, those are point guards that get buckets, and average 6 or 7 assists. I think Maxey can do that, and alongside Embiid I think Embiid could average 5 to 6 assists a game.
Man, I think one reason Morey let Doc go was because Doc wasn't utilizing players including the young players that he brought in. If you remember during last off-season Morey said he expected to see Springer have an impact on the team. But Doc didn't play him.
Furkan can't be our designated shooter. If you look at his 3 point percentage for his career, you wouldn't even consider him a shooter, haha. He's basically a league average or below 3-point shooter. No way he should be considered a designated shooter with that percentage. He's really only a shooter by name in Sixers world, but statistically there's nothing to support it. Even his shoot stroke is poor.
I think Maxey has the capability of to be a star . He gets better each year with good coaching, I believe he can be special. He has the intangibles.
I've been a Tyrese fan even when he was a rookie. After he put that 39 spot on the Nuggets
At the same time, I lost faith in Glenn Rivers for stymieing his development.
