Manning: Brown, asked about how he’ll utilize the $300M: “The wealth disparity here (in Boston) is something nobody wants to talk about…it’s top 5 in the US.” Says he wants to bring a Black Wall Street to Boston, a mix of commercial entities & real estate with stimulation.

Realistically, that’s such an obscene amount of money that you could give away two thirds of it and easily live comfortably the rest of your life. Good on Jaylen to see that money as an opportunity to help the community. Wealth inequality is such a huge problem in this country that’s only getting worse as the top dogs just hog more and more money like dragons in a fable. But that’s a conversation for another time and place lol

Basketball fans don’t talk about it but it’s like the primary topic (in various forms) in r/Boston
