There is no combination of players on the hawks I would give green or a first or one of our 50 undersized guards for but if they added j. Johson might think about hardy its not like he is going to get any playing time anyway.
Nurkic is not the type of center we need plus he’s always hurt

Hardy could become up to a 24 point score. Not likely though. His ceiling is almost assuredly Jordan Clarkson like. Which is totally fine. Compete for 6th man of the year each year is great for a 2nd round pick.
The problem is trading Green over Hardy is that sure you have more offense at what is already the most offensive guard position in the league with Luka and Kyrie(and hardy and Curry as back ups) but letting green go. Who is the only player the mavs now have to guard one of the two guards that the Mavs Defenseless Guards cannot guard.
After Dodo and Bullock leaving, he is the only one they feel comfortable that he can do this.
So trading him for Capella solves the Starting(Spot) Center problem. But it also creates not only a huge whole at 3. But takes away the only player that can move down and guard either Luka or Kyries man. So one defensive hole step forward and another defensive hole step back.
To explain further the need to keep Green is that Luka will be hidden on defense on the other teams worst Forward whenever possible. But you can't hide Kyrie, Hardy or Curry as they are just too small to even try to guard another position. So being able to have a player who can at least somewhat guard one of the other teams guards. Is vital for this teams success. Which makes Green a Necessity, and Hardy a luxury and one they have a excess of at the guard position.
Boils down to simple math really.

If you aren't willing to give up Josh Green for Capela, then you don't want to win. Green plays with high energy but he's replacable. We don't have a true center. Why risk losing Capela? Weird to me.

N I don't see the fascination with cappella. He can't stretch the floor.rim running that why you have powell and lively.nurckicid a good passer and can stretch the floor with his shooting. Just rotate centers when you need defense or offense. This cappella thing is a pipe dream and frankly . Am not high on him nurckic all day joker and ad both stretch the floor and see how far they took there team. Cappella washed😅
Nurkic's contract is just too bad when you count in his imense injury history.
The only none Defensive Center they should even consider(if they can't get one of the others)
