Joe: The organization has had a few conversations [with Brogdon]. There’s a healing process, there’s a listening process, and there’s a process towards — this is where we’re at and this is where we have to get to.

“The organization has had a few conversations [with Brogdon],” Mazzulla told reporters, per CLNS Media. “I think anytime that you’re in a situation like that and you’re in a relationship, you just have to take small steps into it. There’s a healing process, there’s a listening process, and there’s a process towards — this is where we’re at and this is where we have to get to. So, we’ve had some conversations as an organization, but at the same time we understand the situation that it was and as the healing process goes on we’ll continue to move just forward as well as we can.”

Just be like hey man Brad is a dick I wasn’t involved in that at all lmao

Brogdon seems like a pro and I can’t imagine he’ll stay in his feelings for too long. If he does, Payton Pritchard will be one step closer to being the starting PG by Christmas! Boom! Lock it in!

  3. Unless they specifically said to him that he wasn’t being traded when he signed here, I don’t think it should be that big of an issue. Brogdon doesn’t appear to be a player who would pout around all year like some others’ have previously. So I assume this is more like “damn we sorry” than “please don’t holdout and force us to cut you”.

Whole time I thought this was about his elbow

  5. What they keeping Pritchard. Fugger was disgruntled last year and ain’t much gonna change this coming year

    A healing process? Really?

Malcolm, please cash your $22.5 million check & go play basketball. This is ridiculous.

Dude saved us many times in the regular season and playoffs, I always got his back, hope he stays at least this season and if it doesn’t work once again, maybe they can renew their conversation of trading him.

  9. I’ll be shocked if he finishes the season here.

My hot take is that he submarined his trade by not getting surgery for the elbow injury and that he’ll get it done closer to the start of the season and miss the start. I think the team is pissed about this.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him traded during the year.

Dude almost got traded for KP that’s a compliment. Though I suppose it would be a hard reality check to see fans celebrate my almost-trade and then despair when they traded smart instead.

I mean you can literally just tell him the truth and he can understand that it’s a business. It’s clear contract wise that hes not staying here longterm anyways.

Malcom chose the Celtics when he had a couple of trade destination options. Then he dealt with not even getting the coach he thought he was getting, and probably had his bags packed and looking at houses in LA the night of the Porzingis trade.

Backing up Marcus Smart was probably fine in his mind, but now that he’s already won 6MOTY he probably feels he should either start over White, or next to him. Add all those feelings along with the fact that he knows he could still be traded by February, I don’t blame him for not being all gung ho right now.

I mean, they definitely still gonna try to trade him.
