Outshined by the media darling warriors, and severely upset in the 2nd round, one of the most tragic seasons I can remember as a spurs fan. I truly thought that was the year we’d take down the super team.

Man, an undefeated home season would have at least been insane…40-1 will forever be amazing though.

What a great year. Kobe’s last season. Spurs went like 40-1 at home. What a year.

40-1 at home too with the lone regular season loss to the warriors. If the spurs had won that game, warriors historic bid falls flat and the spurs will have had a perfect home record.

Perhaps signing david west for the vet min was the wrong move because the lack of size hurt us against steven adams and enes kanter in the okc series. It would’ve been nice if the spurs got dedmon a year earlier or another athletic big.

67 wins should have been that years super team. Warriors just played magically though

Was a great year but we were actually better in 2017 imo despite the worse record. That’s the true heartbreak year for me

Of course we wouldn’t of needed to face KD on the Warriors if we’d just beaten OKC in 2016

2017 was way worse for me. My warriors hate was at an all time high going into that series and I felt pretty confident we could knock them off. Still believe we would have if not a dirty close out

There is a ZaZa Real Estate in my town. Makes me dry heave every time I see their logo.

They had no answers for Kawhi and we were winning by like 15 when it happened.

All Manu had to do in 2006 was not foul. Instead we send Dirk to the line for a game-tying and-one with 21 seconds left in game 7 of the WCF and end up losing in OT. When you think about that and the Derek Fisher bullshit 0.4 shot in 2004, there’s a very real possibility that the Spurs could’ve gone 5 straight. People here have mentioned 2017, but 2012 was pretty rough too winning 20 straight games and then losing 4 straight, that really felt like our year in the moment and really when the rivalry with OKC started. Consequently, 2016, 2006, and 2012 are our 3 best regular seasons of all time which makes them all even bigger disappointments.

2000 also really sucked because Tim Duncan got injured right before the playoffs started and we didn’t get a chance to defend our title and potentially put an end to the Shaq-Kobe Lakers before they even began. Going even older school, 1995 was a real knife in the gut. 62-win David Robinson MVP season, just to get annihilated by Hakeem in large part because our second best player refused to play help defense due to his own super inflated ego.
