If they don’t do other moves, then it was a pretty bad window. One of the worst guard rotations and shooting teams in the league just got worse.
I personally miss having a functional offense. I think our defense will look really solid, but we would be unable to close games with how bad our shooting is.
If you close the paint, this Raptors team will be in trouble.

We’re not a great shooting team, but did we get any worse this year?
Gary is coming off his worst shooting season, so there can be some positive regression expected. We added Dick who gives us our best off-ball movement shooter in years. We added McDaniels and Schroder, neither of which are sharpshooters, but they are better shooters than players their replacing off the bench (Barton and Juancho).
Losing Fred would hurt more if he wasn’t coming off an awful shooting season. With Fred leaving Gary will be able to slot back into the starting lineup and even in his down season was much better than Fred as a shooter.
Where the team took strides is in the depth and defensive capabilities. We lost Fred and added 3 rotation players. Fred had slipped somewhat defensively and Schroder is a solid replacement defensively. McDaniels adds another multifaceted defender to the roster.
Darko will have a big job taking all the pieces and putting together a top tier defence and a passable offence. It’s possible, but far from guaranteed

B is fair. They just did the obvious moves.

It remains to be seen, maybe Siakam is moved after some rookies become eligible to be traded. Maybe we get involved as the third party facilitating a trade for Dame to Miami. I cant see either of those happening. Maybe Boucher gets moved for another bench guard?
But as of right now….. its a bad off season. Dont want anything to do with a $40m contract for Fred, but losing a starting level PG and replacing him with a bench PG is a significant downgrade no matter what way you slice it. McDaniels is a nice value pick up, but not at a position of need and he isnt good enough to move the needle for us in any serious way.

Obviously not well but technically the offseason isnt over.

Pretty well, if we’re going plainly off of this off-season, they didn’t have the means to bring Fred back considering Houston’s offer, so can’t blame the FO for that (at least in regards to the off-season performance)
They drafted Gradey Dick, got Nowell, Schroeder and McDaniels, brought back Poeltl and GTJ.
So pretty good, at most a draft night trade would’ve been nice, as well as an extension for GTJ and/or Siakam (though I can’t blame the FO for not yet having that done considering Pascal’s desire for the super max)

Dumb article. Offseason isn’t over.
These writers honestly have 0 creativity

Overall, I would give them a D+. They could have gotten something if they traded Fred before the deadline. They didn’t, and they he left for nothing. Now we have Og and pascal on expiring deals. If they wanted to trade either players, they could have gotten more assets now since they are expiring deals they have no leverage in any deals with Og and Pascal.
Not to mention that they didn’t really do anything significant to improve the teams shooting rather than drafting Dick. The roster overall is still a mess, and it still reeks of vision 6’9. This my grade could go to a C if they extend Pascal, but who knows if that’s gonna happen
