Lakers need a center to spread the floor shooting-3 points, rebound and defend for a few minutes per game. Like Meyers Lenard or Christian Wood, someone to cover minutes when AD is injured.
i'm only concerned with them signing a big and i'd personally prefer one that is defensive minded
Matt Ryan made a 3 pointer to tie the score at the 4th quarter buzzer to force overtime against the Pelicans, not a game winner.
Why Bismack Biyombo not included? He is 6'8" but with very impressive wingspan of 7'6". He is undersized for a center position BUT he is a legit solid defender, solid shot blocker, solid rim protector. His energy and hussle on the court is very important. He can defend well players taller than him like Nikola Jokic or Joel Embiid.
Neemias Qutre is a great fit and the kings hasn't been giving him the opportunity to showcase his talent and ability

Queta would give them a big that can bang and protect the rim abd set hard screens
Leonard gives them a stretch 5.
Hayes would give them a lob threat mobile 5 that can even play PF alongside Leonard/Queta
Leonard and Queta are both low maintenance guys that won’t cause problems if they don’t get Playing time some games and are only asked to do the dirty work. Similar to what McGee and Dwight did in 2019-20

Lakers need to prioritize rim protection at the 5 for the 12-15 minutes, or so, that AD is on the bench. For me, at the vet min, it’s Biyombo over Wood or any unproven maybes. Wood scares me. There’s a reason no one wants him. I don’t know what but gotta be.
Too bad willy hernangómez has left the NBA good rebounder shot blocker and can stretch the floor at times
For the final two roster spots, a combination of Christian Wood and either one of Azubuike/Queta/Meyers Leonard would work for me. If Wood doesn’t take the vet min, Azubuike and Leonard would work. A physical rim protecting big and a rebounding stretch five could allow AD to play in bigger lineups.
Since we didn't get jay huff we need to get Neemias. He was runner up in g league mvp voting. A great backup center to step in if ad or hayes miss games.
