Why the nba is on notice that this is shai’s MVP year. Shai had the most votes for a guard on the all nba team and was a top 5 MVP candidate last year. Shai is ready and mother f^ck/rs need to take note. 50+ wins and and a 2023-2024 MVP.

I think SGA is better then all those guys except Curry. Curry won Finals MVP just over a year ago and is a top 10 player ever. I’m not ready to say SGA is better but I hope it happens soon
Everyone not named steph
I disagree with @bkelly625 and think SGA is better than Curry and the others especially since Curry has gotten older and isn’t in his prime anymore but I think that at this present time Luka is just above SGA. IMO in the next couple of years it will be a SGA vs Luka narrative since they are the future of the NBA and it’s also really interesting topic since their playstyles are completely different besides the fact they are both really good in the midrange
like listening to y’all but he is not better then curry or dame or luka and ant is better then jdubb and it’s not really even close.
Right now, ATM SGA all round better, better D, better at creating his own shot, Steph older and better shooter only…unk is right this is a team ,every player is willing to sacrifice own stats to get team development and team wins …. 🏆
League getting alot better at players physical development, nutrition, gym,etc …young kids on other teams getting big and strong but lack control….bit worried bout other teams will target sga physically, its all they can do, they may even try and injure him to weaken us because that's thier only chance at beating us…sga looks a little thin for his age……watch as our young team rallies around their leader and beats the shit out of any team that tries this approach 😉
I love you guys alot but too much Homer takes all the time! I believe in this team but I think your opinion would switch with every trade we make
If Shai wins the MVP and his 14 teammates, in order to honor the new king of the league, decide to adopt a similarly hyphenated last name whereby–for example–Josh Giddy changes his name to Josh Gilgeous-Giddy, along with Lou Gilgeous-Dort and Chet Gilgeous-Holmgren, do you think it would be better if these other 14 guys on the roster instead went the other way where, for example, Cason Wallace would change his name to Cason Wallace-Alexander, and Poku would hereafter be known as Alexei Pokuchevski-Alexander, and K-Rich would be Kenrich Williams-Alexander?
Here is an exercise I'd like to see you guys make a podcast about. Predict the team total points per game, then break it down by individual. Often you guys predict an increase in PPG for each player, but there is only so much time in a game and one man's increase causes a dip in a teammates PPG. I'll take a shot….
Team average PPG: 119.5 ppg
SGA: 29.5 PPG
JDub: 20 PPG
Chet: 14.5 PPG
Giddey: 13.5 PPG
Joe: 8 PPG
Micic: 7.5 PPG
Dort: 6 PPG
K. Williams: 5 PPG
Wallace: 4 PPG
Bertans: 3 PPG
J Will: 3PPG
Poku: 2 PPG
Wiggins: 2 PPG
T Mann: 1.5 PPG
This exercise teaches you very quickly that you can't get too carried away with any one players PPG because we simply are too deep. For the sake of this exercise, I made certain the individual player averages add up to the team average. I realize it won't be exact because some nights guys will get DNP's and there will be injuries, etc.
I hate those low projections from guys I really like at the bottom but the production can only come from so many places. The bold takes there are Giddey suffering a decrease… I think his assists will go up…but Chet's addition will take away from both he and Dort the most. I also probably have MIcic a little higher than most… I expect him to provide scoring off the bench.
I'm also a firm believer in JDub's leap being the most remarkable of anybody on our roster this season.
Unless you project the team to average 140 PPG or something outlandish, you'll have to project many players at less PPG than you want to or know they are capable of.
