Of course Reaves had to be the one who has it mastered.

Glad I’m not the only one who could never do this
ICouldEvenBeYou
Wow, this is actually shocking to me. I’ve been able to do this well since I was a teenager. Can slap the side of the ball to keep up its momentum and everything. I’m sure I could keep it going for a full minute, even. Had no idea I’d have Team USA beat here.
So . . . does this earn me a roster spot?
guywilliamsguy
I am genuinely shocked by this! When I was a kid I felt like these little trick moves went hand and hand with top players.

Ingram taking the opportunity to flip people off
InventasBam
Reaves is the chosen one.
I_Always_Grab_Tindy
Only one that surprised me really was Brunson (and Bridges a little bit), just seems like something a pg would be able to do for whatever reason

Am I trippin or is Austin the best player on this team?
mrgreenranger
wow there’s something basketball related that i can do better than a lot of NBA players.
LinuxDootTP
i wonder what percentage of nba players can/not spin a ball on their finger. prior to seeing this i never really thought about it, but if someone would have asked me if nba players could spin a ball on their finger, i would have for sure said everyone but the least coordinated players. so def not rudy gobert. would be super funny if he could spin a ball on his finger
Jscott1423
Could do this since I was a kid. If only I was 6’8 – 7ft 🤧
Soppoi
Now I wanna see Bobby master it after the WC.

Glad to see Bobby Portis looks just as psycho off the court.

Reaves getting bonus points from me fr what can’t he do
ChiefSoldierFrog
For the life of me I can’t do it. I don’t understand how it works.
AceDuce23
There’s no way Bobby Portis is better than me at basketball
johnniewelker
We will need to run a 6-7 men rotation to win this. I am not confident at all with our bench here
junahn
So every former/current lakers does this shit normally lol.

I always knew my ability to spin a basketball on my finger would bite me in the ass someday. If only I wasn’t so good in this useless skill I could have made the national team.

I never understood why this completely non-basketball skill is so valued.

Kessler yelling no before the question is even over lol
Gunners414
Love me some Bobby Portis!!!
Starksgoon
I was never able to do this despite being pretty good at playing. I was Under the impression that any NBA could do it. Now i know it seems like one of those things were you got it or you dont.
Electronic-Morning76
Looking at our roster kinda just reinforces the fact that USA basketball is not miles ahead of the world anymore. Jesus Christ.
thesqrrootof4is2
2k12 and 2k13 made me believe every NBA player could spin the ball so effortlessly lol
K_a_n_d_o_r_u_u_s
All 3 players who can do it started their careers with the Lakers. Not really worth bragging about, but hell I’ll do it anyway
im_ok_
There’s something I wanna say about Bobby Portis but I’m not gonna say it
MacePaladin
Any chance this was a Lakers draftee requirement? I like how all 3 could do it lol
Ellimistopher
Paolo legit would get mad if you could spin a ball and his counter move was to offer to destroy you 1 on 1.
onamonapizza
My wife never really PLAYED basketball (she was a soccer kid), but she did work with some basketball skill camps. She can keep a ball spinning for minutes, even change hands and do it around her back. It’s a very unique skill, and she’s like a duck on water when she does it.
I grew up playing ball. I can shoot, pass, dribble…but I can’t keep a ball spinning for more like than 2 seconds. She’s tried to teach me, it just doesn’t work
bruswazi
All the Lakers or former Lakers can spin ✅✅✅
YourNanaBanana
so apparently you don’t need to know how to do this to be good at basketball?? my high school life was all a lie
Animaul187
Team USA is kinda trash compared to the teams of the past, eh? The Austin Reeves show.
Ok_Establishment8127
All lakers and the formers just got that aura to them
Phenomenal2313
It’s funny this was one of the tricks I could do very consistently even with a wet ball and hand
barters81
So…..is this the B team?

I can’t believe these incredibly skilled 21 year olds can’t figure out how their grandfathers rode horses! What dicks!

Bro other than Mikal where are all the stars?
StanVanGhandi
Funny thing is, the worse at basketball I got the better I could spin a ball on my finger.

Maxisnice is doing too much. He’s involved in everything bball related. I get it though gotta capitalize while you can
