[Jackson] Though ESPN has moved on from Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, we’re told they’re retaining Hubie Brown, who will call games at age 90 this upcoming season. What an incredible man… Mike Breen, Doc Rivers, Doris Burke remain on track to be the new lead ABC/ESPN NBA team.

  1. Man, I’m approaching 40 and Hubie has been old for as long as I can remember. Wild that he’s still going at it.

  2. csummerss

Hubie needs to retire already. sick of listening to that old bastard

  3. Hubie is still amazing tho. His voice is clear, no cracks or mumbles and he still gives cogent analysis
Why dont they put hubie back to Mike Breen instead of current crappy lineup

  4. luke_workin

Hubie is a fucking legend. Unlike most old heads, he actually loves the game and embraces the changes in the modern NBA.

  5. One of the only smart decisions ESPN has made. Hubie is a treasure.

  6. imminentjogger5

Now look, Hubie Brown is a commentator that works very hard on his game. He’s going to come in night in and night out, and give you a hundred percent. Give him some credit

  7. imnotknox

ESPN at this point just needs to put a headset on a golden retriever to call games with Breen. What are they doing

  8. Hubie is a legend. Amazing he is still articulate at his age. But it’s about time someone replaced him. How can you do company wide layoffs and the 90 year old still stays 😂. His contract must be a peach.

  9. NbaAllDAYger

Hes a legend but my goodness half the time he doesnt even recognise who is playing or whom , constant name mixing but his luv for the game is the its gonna turn off some people tho

  10. Tabais123

Does anyone want to listen to Doc Rivers for 2 hours?

  11. Both_Funny4896

i will be watching the finals on mute next season

  12. RoboApple7

better than 90 year olds running the country

  13. TheFatmanRises

So this is what skeletons workers are

  14. Jeffre33

I can’t stand Hubie, takes longer than anyone to make his point

  15. Wavepops

Huber drops so much knowledge during games. Really appreciate him

  16. bloodmuffins793

Hubie is the fucking best. Keep him calling games till he keels over.

  17. I’m probably the only one who thinks this, but ESPN should have moved both Gundy and Jackson to NBA countdown and post game. Instead of letting them go

  18. workkharder

Says a lot about how much he’s paid…

  19. big4horryrobert

Hubie isnt bad but you can tell he isn’t as sharp as he used to… but it’s telling that people prefer him to the other commentators in espn.

  20. KickerofTale

    Welcome to yawn town.

I’ll just watch those games on mute. Seriously.

  21. hankbaumbachjr

Hubie is 90 years old, has been involved with the NBA longer than most of us have been alive and still audibly guffaws at plays during broadcasts.

    Protect Hubie at all costs!

  22. Balls_of_Adamanthium

Hubie breaks down plays at it they happen with insightful commentary. No extra, no bullshit. I wish he was paired with Breen

  23. Dawn_of_Dayne

Get rid of Mark only to get stuck with Doris and Doc. The monkey paw really put up a Lebron stat line with this 🤢

  24. BruinBound22

I hope to have Hubies cognitive function at 90. Dude is still so sharp.

  25. CallmeKap

I wish I could sit and rap with Hubie about basketball

  26. MikeyBastard1

    At NINETY?!

Jesus christ bro. Just run for President already.

  27. I am a big fan of Hubie. Im glad he made it through the purge

  28. ThaEyeTest

It’s clear anybody who steps out of line or they deem a threat gotta go. Van Gundy and Mark Jackson were quite controversial whatever that means with certain views on air and disagreed quite often with the direction the NBA was going

  29. wut_eva_bish

Mark Jackson does his job worse than a 90 year old.

    Sounds about right.

  30. dBlock845

Lol Hubie is 90? Still the best commentator on ESPN.

  31. Greaves624

Weird thing is that Hubie is very bright and sharp. I always thought he was an old looking 59-62 year old

I only refer to the key as the painted area.
