[Medina] It seems inevitable the Toronto Raptors will deal Siakam. It’s become increasingly clear the Raptors are not currently constructed to become a serious playoff threat. So what’s the point in running on empty calories just to finish in the middle of the standings?”

>“It seems unpredictable, however, on when the Raptors trade Siakam. They expect a strong deal for return in the form of quality rotation players, expiring contracts and draft picks, all qualities that help accelerate a rebuild.”

  1. The point is that Siakam is a fantastic basketball player who wants to be here. I’m thankful for him and hope he stays on a good contract.

Sounds more like speculation than an actual update imo

Why would we trade a all nba player just because lol.

  4. awwwyeahaquaman

Weird, definitely seems more like they are going to just keep him and let him play the year out

Please stop posting speculation as news. Just because someone says it on Twitter doesn’t mean it has any weight.

“It seems inevitable”…. Slow news day eh?

Or… we keep him and build our insanely young core to possibly be contenders again.

I hate that our sub becomes so toxic towards our best players (who *WANT* to be here) by just constantly posting trade speculation (that’s based off literally nothing) and all the upvoted comments are super snarky pro trade comments.

A lot of this generation of players see a lot of this stuff. Imagine wanting and putting the time in to be a leader of a team and when you take a look at what the fans are saying and it’s just trashing you and hoping you’re getting shipped.

Pascal is a class act, one of my favorite Raptors of all time. He’s done nothing to deserve being shoo’d away by the fanbase when he’s done nothing but produce year after year. No wonder players don’t want to come here.

The point is to sell tickets. All these fucking analytics guys forget that basketball is a business.

Toronto ain’t New York. Tickets don’t sell themselves.

He needs to stay. We can’t get top30 players to come here . We need to draft them or develop into a star. Pascal is exactly what the raptors culture is . So why do we want him gone?

It actually seems increasingly likely the Raptors will run it back and see what they have this year.

Is Pascal in LA with the team right now? Didn’t see him in any pics posted yesterday

  12. Speculative thinking is no longer thinking. It’s just become another word for click bait.

Once again I appreciate your posts.

That being said, with pre season schedules announced and training camp not far off, can’t really see any major trades taking place now (including Damian and Harden on their respective teams)

The desperation moves will be seen at trade deadline at this point

The return is what make or breaks a pascal trade, so who are they looking for?

What’s a piece that this team could use to really tie everything together?

in the tune of Tame Impala’s Expectation
