Trade Edwards to Booker and the Suns will go to the finals again.

  2. Professional_Sir7689

can’t pass like a PG, doesn’t have the court vision of a PG. I guess all he sees a PG as is someone who can shoot 3s and dribble well?

  3. Because of how Ant talks I never know when I should take him seriously and when he’s just messing with people.

  4. ToronoRapture

Bro is definitely trolling lol. You can see him smirk.

I get what he’s saying but he undoubtedly wrong lol. Maybe his GOAT but to say he’s ‘greater’ than MJ or Lebron is insane.

  5. Yeah he’s the best player ever but won’t be considered the best because of his lack of winning

  6. 4:3 career assist to turnover ratio but ok

MJ and LeBron at about 2:1 btw

“Over Jordan?” Taylor, this kid has never seen Michael Jordan play a basketball game.

Zoomers are ruining the GOAT label

KDs handle honestly would be mediocre if he was 6’ tall. He doesn’t do anything that’s not just pedestrian for a PG.

This was before he got to the league, he knows now that Naz Reid is clearly the GOAT.

GOAT just means “my personal favorite player ever” to a lot of guys not “this is an objective fact.” Anyone reading any more into these comments is wasting their time. Edwards just likes Durant’s skill set over anyone else.

Not even the best seven foot “point guard” in the NBA right now.

I think he see the GOAT conversation as GOAT skillset, not greatest career. In which case, this is not the most ridiculous answer. It also explains why Kobe is considered the GOAT by many.

If KD doesn’t have the Achilles injury, there’s a decent chance he could surpass LeBron as the GOAT. He’d have at least 3 titles already and was on pace to put up crazy career numbers. I still remember right around that time, Tjarks (RIP) at the Ringer made the argument that KD was starting to build a resume that could rival Lebron’s. He wrote that statistical projections at the time showed:

“LeBron has a 69.9 percent chance of passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (no. 1 at 38,387) and a 44 percent chance of reaching 40,000 points, while Durant has a 20.8 percent chance of catching Kareem and a 14.1 percent chance of reaching 40,000.”

It’s probably too late now, but it was closer than people think

Kevin Durant of course cannot do everything a point guard can do

Edwards still looks like a deep faked KD to me.

Love how focused he is on the uno game especially at 0:15

“Don’t bother me I’m trying to focus”

  18. Mcgoozen

Except for the numerous PG skills that KD doesn’t have at all lol

Sometimes I forget if Ant is 12 or 22 tbh

I like the argument because for some people the GOAT is championships, for some it’s the most diverse skillset, for some it’s their impact on the game, and some it’s the most complete basketball player, and you can realistically make an argument for multiple players with any of that. KD has a real argument to be made in certain criteria because he really is a unicorn of the game. There’s never been another player like him and he may very well be the best efficiency scorer in the history of the NBA. He’s certainly up there.

The older I get the less I care about the argument though because most people only care about the best player from the generation of basketball they grew up with, and I’m really no exception to that. I find the debate fun, though.

Damn, why is he throwing shade at Paul George like that?

I hope we continue this trend of young players naming some non Jordan/Wilt/Lebron type dude as the GOAT.

Let’s get some Chris Mullins or Kyle Lowry GOAT discussion happening.

  22. I can’t wait until the younger generation phases out the older ones and Jordan being the GOAT talk can fade away. Jordan was great no doubt but the game has evolved and gotten so much better since then. I’m 44 and I watched MJ in his prime but I can appreciate how much more skilled the players are today.

Taylor Rooks should work for the FBI since she can get men to say anything in her presence

  24. socialmediablowsss

Why is being 7 foot still considered such a premium? It’s not like KD and Giannis switch off winning titles every year. KD couldn’t even cut it on his own he’s not even top 10 as far as I’m concerned. When you talk about “greatest scorers” then he has an argument but like? “He’s 7 foot and can dribble”… ok. They all do that nowadays

  25. Bunny_Whaler

I see it every time, dude can’t even look at Taylor Rooks when he’s talking to her. Looking at the uno cards is just cover.

I’ve said it before, but I’ve never seen another interviewer make people look so uncomfortable just because of how hot she is as Rooks. It’s unreal, she turns pro athletes into middle schoolers.

I know it was just one game but in the Puerto Rico game it was obvious that Edwards was the best player on the floor for a lot of stretches.

I’m hoping this experience for him is sort of like when Durant had his own FIBA run and his surrounding cast wasn’t exactly the monstars. Durant basically said, “I got this,” and scorched everyone.

I just want edwards to unlock all that untapped potential.
