After 16 years with ESPN, Sage Steele is leaving the network. The longtime SportsCenter anchor says she’s leaving so she “can exercise her first amendment rights more freely.”

> ESPN recently offered Sage Steele $501,000 to settle her lawsuit filed in the aftermath of her comments about the network’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Sage has been anchor at the SportsCenter desk for many of the NBA’s top breaking news stories over that past decade and a half.

In the last few years, she has been a controversial figure due to public comments made about the COVID-19 vaccine policy at ESPN and *questioning Barrack Obama’s blackness.*

  1. Finally. Another patriot that doesn’t understand what the first amendment is

  2. 1st amendment says you can say whatever you want. It doesn’t say ESPN is still forced to pay you millions of dollars while you do it…

    She’s insane.

The Constitution protects us from the government, not from each other. It’s shocking how many people don’t know this and we can add Sage Steele to that list of people.

  4. Elephantparrot

I’d previously not had an opinion on Sage Steele. Now I think she’s a fucking idiot.

These people think what they’re saying is so damn smart, yet to anybody with an actual clue it is quite apparent that the opposite is true.

Best of luck to her at FirstPatriotSportsNetwork or whatever stupid bullshit this moron is off to next.

  7. Mission-Community214

She’s had a victim mentality for years…. Good fit for political punditry!

Firstly, she’s a moron. You get paid handsomely to read a teleprompter and talk sports. Not go on rants about Obama’s heritage.

But if she wants to go elsewhere, go for it. It’s a free country. Hopefully for her sake there’s a Clay Travis niche opportunity out there for her.

A lot of her previous co workers didn’t like her for what it’s worth

  10. I hope she remembers that her preferred idea group only has so many slots open for people like her, and I’m pretty sure Jason Whitlock took three of them.

  11. Stillintherapy

Oh so she can lie about getting walloped by a golf ball claiming near death experience? Lol

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out

    ✌️✌️✌️✌️

  13. She can stand on a sidewalk on public property and spew whatever kind of bullshit she wishes. Unfortunately, she can’t do it on the air working for a company work contract terms. That is not how free speech works.

Man I will miss Sage Steele

    Said no one ever

Good riddance. Glad to see ESPN cleaning house.

I’m sure she’ll release a book in a few years detailing her victimhood & the unbearable oppression. There is still money to be made from this grift.

For all the idiots like Sage who don’t actually read the fucking amendment:

***Congress*** *shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.*

It protects you against congress/government, not your employer from being able to fire your dumbass for saying stupid shit

Sage about to co host with Candace Owens.
